Thank you very much. I like to keep the wiring neat. I did the same thing on the wrecker. The motor is a Le Mans Gold 240 brushless with a Le Mans 240S ESC. It is the same setup as my Turbo Optima Gold. I really wanted to get a 480S brushless motor (green one), but I guess Kyosho quit making them. All of this started when I was going through a box of old RC stuff and found a brand new Le Mans 240ST motor. I ordered the Turbo Optima Gold, so I could use that motor, but decided to keep it in the box and started ordering all of the stuff that I wanted when i was a kid. So, now I have a Turbo Optima Mid Special, a Tamiya Sand Scorcher and a Grasshopper that I need to build. I got the Grasshopper for my cousin, because he had that car back in the 80's. So much to do and so little time.

Oh, the servo was just the cheapest metal gear servo that I could find. It is a Spektrum 814 I think. And I have not ran this car yet. I'll get around to it soon and expect it to be just like the Turbo Optima Gold. I love these old Kyosho buggies.

Thank you very much! Back in the 80's I used to build buggies for parents that were giving them to the kids for Christmas. I guess they didn't want to build them or didn't trust themselves to do it right, so they paid me to do it. I built sooo many, mostly Tamiya, and that experience made me like Kyosho much better than Tamiya. Being that these were being bought by parents, they were not buying top of the line stuff, so I never got the opportunity to build an Team Associated or any other high-end stuff, but I stayed pretty busy in November/December.

I have a few Associated products too. Old and new.
Kyosho products are every bit as good if not better in fit, feel, finish and quality of the materials being used. The manuals are fantastic too!

While I do believe everyone should own an RC10 at least once, I don't feel like you're missing out.

Sounds like a great job you used to have!

I wanted an RC10, but ended up getting an RC12L, that I still have. Building that car compared to my Ultima was night and day. There seemed to be a lot of winging it on the Associated car. I guess that they expected folks to heavily modify their cars, so the instructions were more vague, compared to the very detailed manuals that Kyosho and even Tamiya offered.
