Haven’t took time post any updates on the 66 Chevy truck build lately because I’ve had a 1:1 project on a nused-new to me lol 21 Nissan TITAN XD truck. But I have been getting some body upgrades to start working on it. So first off here’s the chassis. As of now this part is done. I think. I was really hoping someone would make aluminum lower A-arms for it. When I started parts was being released weekly almost for the Fazer. Now it’s dried up. That is like one of the first upgrades on any RC. Oh well.

This is a mix of Kyosho, Yeah Racing and Power Hobby’s anodized aluminum and carbon fiber with some other odd and end red parts Plus some hidden performance upgrades

Now for the body. Hoping this turns into a bed cover. Went to Hobby Lobby got a piece of leather with a sheet of lexan or bossil wood which ever works best as a frame for it

This my color choice I made for the body and other minor parts. This was a no brainer for me to paint it the color of my real 66 Chevy truck. Charcoal gray for the body with a red mirror stripe and some red metal flake on the sides to replace the chrome on real Chevy trucks. The Testor paints are mostly for the motor and the brushed aluminum is to cover all the chrome pieces because the chrome parts are in different shades.

Now for the coolest part. You gotta have some jams with a cool ride. So I went with this system from Sac City. It’s actually kinda loud and looks like a real setup. Carpet boxes and all. It’s good for around 50feet from phone. The surprising thing is the red ring is a metallic plastic that matches well with the other red goodies

When I’m done with this build it’s gonna be mostly a shelf queen. Since I’m not gonna race or drift it i didn’t see the point in using an expensive radio. So I got the FlySky FS GT5. It’s a pretty decent radio with 6 channels which should be more than enough to work everything I’m looking to hook up to it. I’m replacing the stock headlights with red halos. And even a license plate light
