Finnally after two weeks of frustration with everything you can imageine going wrong my car worked and I was having fun with it!!!!! THEN:confused: out fo no where it stops responding (there where fresh batteries) it takes of into a 4inches of water and stops, My servos are all broke, and so is my FM reciever, maybe RC is not for me or maybe I just got a bad car.

can anyone give me a rough estimate of how much it would be to replace the servo (throttle) and the little Radio Reciver. I just hope my engine is not ruined, I drained it out and I put after run oil in it...... hope it can be revived.

well, i'd suggest you clean the engine and then run it without the receiver on. Just make sure the throttle is at idle and put your foot in front of the car to hold it back in case it wants to take off.

As for an estimate, i'd say anywhere from $50-70. Servos aren't that much it's the receiver that'll kill you. Make sure you get one with the same frequency as your radio.

for the cost of your servos and the reciver it will depend on what kind u haveand then how much money u are willing to spend. but for the middle range performace servo's and reciever like kwong said it should cost around $60 to replace.

Maybe you should go with a boat :hehe: The engine could get rusted if you didn't take it all apart and dry the water out if water did get in. Just run some fuel through it.

heres just an idea to think about. you might want to also take a look at your clutch and make sure theres no water in the clutch bell housing. i would imagine eventually the water would evaporate, but water or rust might definatly affect your clutch performance.
