I heard the new osvzb is a killer engine. Alot of the guys at the worlds were running that engine and they were competitive. I haven't had a personal experience with the new os, but the vz-01b is a kick ass screamer. OS had a hard time with their last few .21 comp engines, but i think they got it right this time with the new vz.

Yes, I was lucky enough to see some of the pros at the 15th annual kyosho challenge using them, and those engine were VERY good, I talked to some of the pros and they said that it was one of the best engines they've ever used.

Are you speaking of the VZB, or the VZB V-Spec? Myself and two of my friends have VZB's. These are the ones that supossedly had problems, yet all three are great. I run 20 %, and the other two, though one of them barely ever gets run, use 30%. All O'Donnell fuel. Mine has about 3 to 3.5 gallons threw it, and the one that gets run on 30% is about the same. That thrird guy is lucky to say 1 gallon. I hope he reads this LOL!!!!!! They have tons of low end torque, and scream at the high end. Especialy on 30%. I mostly race against Hyper 8 port, and should kill them, if only I could drive. I was told when I bought it that it is supposed to have .1 HP less than the Novarassi, but a much flatter torque curve, shich means better over all performance.

Now, what about those digital servos?

I'm not sure of the # on the JR servos. I was told that they would run about $125 each.
I know someone asked me to keep a tab on what I'm paying as I go.
Here's what I paid so far after taxes.

K3 buggy $650
Sirio .21 Kanai edition $325
Ofna pipe $125 with header
PCM receiver, RX bat pack, servo horns, antenna tube, on off switch, shock oil $150
crystals, $25
Tires $55
Just over $1300 so far.
I had servo's and a radio. If you add that into the mix, add another $550.
That would bring the total up to $1875 ish so far.

uuuhhhhh......this one: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGPF0&P=0

I wasn't sure what to get for my k3 when I got it 2 mons. ago so I ravaged my MGT for it's Wasp.26 and HB pipe and ran that for awhile on the k3. I was on the fence with either the Ws7 or VZB R-spec T. Anyway the R-spec T arrived today and I'll be breaking it in tomorrow. I read Steve Pond dynoed it @ 2.94 hp! That made my mind up. I'll let you know how it compares to the Wasp. The Wasp was dynoed at 2.67 hp but the graph of it's power curve is peaky and is over a relatively small part of rpm range. O.S. is known for their flat torque curve. We'll see but I'm expecting some real usable power. The Wasp is a powerhouse and to get the power down without constantly spinning the tires I ran a 16T C/B.

Never heard of an "R-spec" The V-spec in the link isn't the one I have. The one I have is a VZB(P). It's the one OS came out with after the V01B, and befor the V-spec that has only been out 3 months or so.

I had a JR digital servo for my steering on my Lightning Pro 2 that only lasted about 5 month. It has a 3 year warrenty that I have been procastinating on collecting. It numbers were NES-4721. At least I was told it was digital, and don't know if not having my radio set right might have been the cause of its distruction. Just a little FYI.

Also it was slow as poop, and I think it would have been better on the throttle.

I was told by a good friend, and source that this is a great pipe.
Any feedback on this would be great.
Thanks in advance. Link!

Thats the pipe i'm running with my RB WS7-2. Wasn't able to run it full throttle yet, since i'm still in the process of breaking the engine in, but i also heard good things about this pipe.

Yeah but $125$ thats an expensive pipe!! If it's worth getting it, I will.

Almost finished! I have to build the shocks, and install the engine & pipe.
The pipe has to be orderd, so that will be the last install.
Tires are on the way.
The hobby shop called me tonight to tell me that it was in. (the engine)

EDIT: I just noticed that I double posted. Sorry.

Thats what came in the box, so thats what i'll use. I agree that the green is a bit much, but it doesn't bother me.
The only thing that I don't like about the green, is it screems "HEY LOOK! I HAVE A KANAI!"

Not many choices for color out there though! Let's see: Green, Orange, Yellow, Blue, White, Gun Metal and that's about it. At least they put rims in the kit!! They could leave those out also. But then of course if they left them out the price of the kit would raise. So, leave them in. Anybody seen any red wings and rims?? I heard they are out there, but have not yet seen them.

Correction 'V-spec T'. Anyway, I put 15 tanks through it today. Tuned for power on the last tank. I'm running the Ofna Jsp-1 pipe. It hauls. Very trackable power. I was running a temp 205. I've seen buggys with the Ws7 and it seems like this engine is much faster. I'll see how fast it really is at the next race.

SHHHH! Stop talking.
Look at my new baby.

dude, that's such a sweetass project you got Ratzo. My next vehicle is definately gonna be a buggy in kit form... not such a highend piece though. I got too damn much in my maxx. That engine is gonna look tits installed. i'm sure it'll run just as well also. Have fun... I'm jealous :)

Looks real good. Don't know about the pipe, but it looks nice. I think I might know someone withthat pipe. I'll ask over the week end. I run a Jp-1 on my VZB (non-V-Spec) and it kicks @$$ I think. Quieter that the one that came with the Lightning, but alot smother power band.

FYI Toycar: I seem to get peak performance at 225-230, with out feeling like I am risking damage to the engine, but it took 12-15 tanks to fully break in.
