In your opinion what are the top 3 nitro platforms on the market based on price, quality and fun?

Losi, HPI, and Traxxas in that order best to least and price as well losi being most expensive and traxxas being least expensive. This is just my opinion. I own 2 traxxas rigs and plan to own a losi buggy and truggy kit as well as an HPI savage and trophy truggy.

This is going to start a thread war, there have been multiple threads started (some closed) on this subject. If you think Traxxas is the cheapest (cost wise), you haven't compared them to any other brands.

To the O.P., you said platforms, I would say 1/8 MT, Truggy, Buggy, in that order

I dont mean to start a war. So play nice.

I mainly run Traxxas not a lot of experance with other rigs.

When I said "platforms" I ment, to start with and upgrade.

The Losi 8 platform is one of the best platforms out there IMO which almsot all of losi's ktis these days are based on. It is not cheap however.

Since I have a fleet of 10 which include 7 nitro rigs the cheapest would have to be my rc10gt and the most expensive would be the savage xl. These are based on initial cost so the gt was like 250 or so and the xl was nearly 600. I think rcs in general can be cheap if you have the right gear and you perform the hop up right the first time. I think we have seen hopups go bad and expensive because the person just wanted to go all out or buy cheap parts. Just my opinion.

No i dont think traxxas is the cheapest cost wise but for the 3 brands i mentioned it is. Except for the e revo that thing is like $600. As far as platforms i agree with the losi 8 buggy or the losi 8 T truggy and the savage mt would be my choice and OPINION only as far as the top 3 nitro platforms. So dont take this as a thread war from my input at least.
