I would go with it, it doesn't use FM modulation. The difference in sound quality should be like night and day. You'll need a stereo male RCA to stereo headphone cable (they have them at Radio shack) and this so that you get the best signal to the deck. The pocketdock comes with an RCA cable but I like the housing of the Radioshack cable better. Its all personal preference.

You don't have to order it direct from them, check ebay, I've seen them as low as $20.

I also used a firewire cable and connected it to a cigarette lighter adaptor with firewire connection. That way the ipod charges as you drive.
