Here is is after adding purple aluminum shocks, bumpers, chrome springs, Blue aluminum shock towers and then I painted the body jet black which is painted on the exterior looks sweet I used krylon fusion plastic paint and it seems to adhere very well to the body I have actually tried to scratch it and it diddnt even fase it. In the future I want to get a new clear body and do a custom purple flame job on it with my air brush. I also have a purple massive dynamite head I still need to install and a purple lightweight flywheel. I'm currently looking for a set of purple rpm a arms let me know what you think of my little beast and add your pics to this thread I would love to see your toys :)

Looks like a nice rig. But you need to adjust your pics as they are out of rule spec. 640 X 480 is the limit. Take some of your rig without your lid.

What rims are those?

woops I will use smaller pics I diddnt know about that :)
They are dynamite rims I got them on ebay for $29.00 woo hoo if you do a search you can find more but they are usally around $50 and I will take the body off and get some pics smaller size of course :)

Thanks JesseG For understanding. Just trying to help the site. Hope you have a strong mill, with all those aluminum parts its going to weigh in pretty hefty!

But shes shiny!

Yeah it got lots of get up and go and actually the only things that are a lot heavier than the stock are the bumpers and the shock towers the rims are actully pretty light since there is not much there but they are still heavier than stock plastic for sure and the shocks suprisingly are very light. I was going to get aluminum a arms to but I decided to stick with lighter plastic ones from Rpm I just need to find a good deal on ebay lol thats where everything including the truck was bought from its my ebay Maxx! hehe Thanks for the copliments :) I'm working on a pic of it with the body off now with the new head I just installed

Ok here is the pic of the chassis I hope i set the pic size right I'm new to adding pics to threads :) so bare with me.

Intersting look. That sure is a lot of aluminum. As long as you stay away from any immovable objects like trees and walls you should be fine. One good wreck could cost you a lot of money.

ok I hope it works this time, If not mabe one of my kids can some show me how to do it lol.

Ill keep that in mind lol but I'm planning on driving it fairly hard if it breaks than I can alway put the stock parts back on. I know I went a little crazy with the aluminum I was going to get even more but I think I will just stick with rpm parts fairly cheap and reliable from what I have heard. The main reason I bought all of the aluminum it was all bought on ebay cheap I think I might have around 100 bucks in all of the aluminum upgrades. I might go after some aluminum bulk heads but that will be the last thing I get. I just figured aluminum is stronger than plastic and thats why I went this route but now I'm learning thats not true. I'm new to this I have only had my truck for about 4 months live and learn I guess thanks for the imput

Here is a link to an auction with similar rims as these starting for 25.00!! They are 3 spoke instead of five like mine.

I suggest a nice roll bar from New Era Models.

That was the next thing I wanted to get is a roll cage so when I catch air and it decides not to come down on all fours it will protect what I have invested in it. How much does the Era models run and do you have a link? I have been checking out some cages on ebay but not sure which would be the strongest and lightest

I purchased my cage off ebay too. Its an RC Raven cage. I am very happy with it. Fits well and is very strong. The only downside is that it is pretty heavy. If you dont mind forkin out some extra $$$ they make a titanium cage also.

I dunno about the roll cage, but a roll bar would be a good choice. The roll cage adds a lot of weight. But if you really want a roll cage, check out the one from R/C Solutions, those things are tough!

The roll cages kind of stink, unless you go with the RC-Solutions one... I thought I learned my lessen with the maxx and roll cages, but here I am with one on my savage... bendy bendy :(

On the maxx, the New Era 3 point roll bar is un-beatable. I ran that on my maxx when I had it for over a year and it saved me lots of parts and it helps the top of the body not get busted up so fast on roof landings.

This is for the 2.5 maxx, so I don't know what's different about the older .15 maxx: New Era Roll Bar

Yeah, i use the same roll bar and i love it!!! It is super tough and it does save the bodys from being bashed in from flipping and such. Definitaly worth the money.

Thanks for the link do you think that would be tall enough to protect my cooling head I just installed it and dont want it looking like my old one lol road rash city

Don't know, but I did take a pic of it for someone else holding a tape measure up behind it a few months ago when I was selling it...

I don't have the pic here at work, but if I remember, I'm pretty sure I have it at home and could post it.

that would be cool if you could do that for me I would really appreciate it!
