I wouldn't call it a technicality. The woman had no case... at all. I assume she was trying to sue him for back rent, but she never paid it to begin with. She's not the one at a loss because she never gave anything. The renter is the only person with a case here, and they clearly are not involved.

Now this doesn't excuse the amount of stupidity on the guy. Holy crap... completely clueless. How did he even pass the entrance exam? Wow.

Sadly so many people now believe they should be given anything and everything they want. That for some reason they are entitled to everything.

This type and other types of behavior is and will bankrupt the country. These last few weeks is a very clear indication. To many people living in the "right now" and not within their means, the government included.
