I'm going to buy a jrsx3 radio soon and I was wondering if one of the servos that comes with the radio would be better for the throttle / brake on the savage than the HPI SF-2( stock steering servo) that I have on there now? Thanks for your time and help!!!

The Z590 (85 oz @ .15 sec) is actually faster than the Z270 (49oz @ .19 sec). However, according to HPI's stats the SF-2 is 90oz @ .16 sec. Looks like you should stick with the SF-2.

All stats above are at 6V.

Yeah the only tihng the z590 has on the SF2 is that it is in fact metal geared. Only advantage over the SF2 servo at all. I just flipped mine around to the throttle brakes servo it seems to be a lot better than the SF1 servo.
