i was looking for a pipe short as possible. I need all the explosive low end I can get. Our tracks here are short and windy, so when next season rolls around, I can whip around the track.

Don't use a short pipe length to judge low end power. The shape of the pipe also plays a part in it's performance. The tower measurements are incorrect, the JP-2 is the shorter pipe of the two.

The OFNA 086 pipe is the shortest of the three shown. If you were to choose a pipe based on length you would end up with a top end pipe instead of a low end pipe. Use the pipe that best fits your engine's powerband. If you need more bottom end power drop a tooth on the CB and call it a day.

HA i knew it!!! The guy at our LHS says that you want the shortest pipe for torque.

I was kicked out of the hobbyshop for arguing with him, because he said i was dead wrong with everything i said to him.

Supposedly, 30% nitro with 10% oil doesn't exist, i asked for that and told him its all I'll use for racing, thats when he told me to :jet: He says more oil = more power.

Oh and this is some 17 year racing experienced factory race driver. :loser:

he might mena a short header....typically the longer pipes will be more torque....obviously there will be rule breakers to that statment but overall the longer shaped pipes will give a quicker throttle response (barring bad tuning and gearing issues of course).....the shorter header will allow the engine to "get on the pipe" sooner but it makes for a rougher response sometimes.....I've played a lil with these theories and messed up enough of my stuff to know I'm not the be all end all expert at it .....these are just observations I've made along with reading a bit about how tuned pipes work......

Well hopefully the SH sample pipes perform well enough that I dont have to try some other pipes. If not, oh well. Always time to explore different pipes for different tracks.

One I received is a "top speed" pipe, 3 chambered. I can't wait to run it just because I've never ran a 3 chambered pipe before. anyone else run one? what do you think of 3 chambers?

OK so I have been published in XRC as well as others here on this forum. That doesn't make us authorities on any given subject by any means.

You have come here to this site and have tried to play BMOC with TMI. Honestly, your opinions are like any other, just that. You have made a huge amount of leading statements that are full of holes and again nothing more then opinions.

I'm happy for you that you got your letter to the editor on the mailbag page. But like 99% of your posts its exaggerated out of proportion. You call it an "Article" when its nothing more then a published letter you wrote correcting an error. You also seem to believe, or are trying to make us believe that you are righting reviews for the magazine. I wish you luck in getting them published.

We dont give a poop about what you think of yourself. There are many users here that have 100 X your knowledge and humbly share it with others without trying to give the impression of being a know-it-all. One thing we have learned over the years is guys like you that come off big are just looking for attention and more times then not dont know poop.

I think your going to not like it here if you dont come down to earth and get over yourself real quick. If you dont, I'm sure the members here will be glad to knock you off your high horse.
:hehe:

Robmob, where's the hex-screws kit? And also, where is the paper for the second mortgage? Lol, WHAT A SET-UP!

Just for the record, there have been no reviews in our magazine from the person in this thread. If it's the same person from the letter it was nothing more.

The JP 3 is a 3 chamber pipe ,tehy run great and have a broader power band.
I have also used the AxeMotor Rossi 2040 3 chamber pipe which is ver similar to the JP3 and a bit quieter also give great fuel economy compared to JP1/2.
I guess this because of the smoother broader power delivery.
The jp pipes are fantastic value for money.

The guy is a legend in his own mind.
