It's looking good rollinlow, we'll have to invade Charlie's house once the rocks show up but we'll have to be careful....Last time I was there he put a shovel in my hand!

I have talked with Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel, and I'm working on getting a few dump trucks of large rocks and 1 truck of smaller ones delivered out here to the house to build some comp courses, and once I get it done you're welcome to come on up for some good crawling/trail running with the scalers.

Charlie you should have had this set up before our little GTG, we could have just had it at your house!

lol. True, but then i would have to drive up there again. lol Thats a long drive!! Maybe just because it was 4am when i left here.......... and got pulled over 4 times. lol

Dont forget, I also put a brand new Baja 5B SS in your hands ;)

I wont have it raedy in time for the get together, and it looks like I might have to be out of town anyway :( Once I have time to have the rocks delivered (I think that's going to be much better, I can have them brought in 1 or 2 truckloads rather than taking a truck over there and making several trips, having to unload them between each trip), I'm still going to have to layout the course, make some bridges and stuff, and stretch out my cable bridge. I'm going to have two 1/8 inch cables hung like a bridge the exact track width of a 2.2 (and maybe a small set MRC size for you guys that are scared to join the ranks of the 2.2) like you see at the comps, so you'll have to walk to tight wire with your crawlers somewhere on the course. I might build a 2.2 and a 1.9 course separate, next to each other, and connect them with the suspension bridge.

I can't say right now, my uncle is supposed to making the trip out of town for me, but I still can't get a definite answer when he's going, and if I don't get my stuff before the 20th its going to be sold or given away, all of which has A LOT of sentimental value, as well as some expensive welders and a really nice commercial compressor, so if he doesn't go, I can't abandon the stuff just to go crawling.

I found a guy that's making lexan molds of rocks, and selling them cheap, all you have to do is paint them or texture them and they have big tabs so you can glue them to the boards for an indoor course, or make velcor boards so you can rearrange the rocks lol.

They are currently selling "rocks" designed for the 1/18 stuff, but the 2.2 size rocks are coming out next week.

I think it's a neat idea, especially for guys that can't crawl outside in the winter time. Here in Louisiana, it rarely freezes over on our coldest days, and my rock course will never be covered with snow lol.

If you want some information on these let me know and I'll give you the contact information.

nice u just got it ?

I ordered it Monday and it came it today, It's a cool little rig. This is my third try at mini/micro, I didn't care for the first two but I think this one might hang around for a while. I have plans for it in the near future.

Yeah a lot of guys are buying them so their kids can practice crawling in the house, but then when their mom asks them to clean their room, they can just pick em up and stack em in the closet. The look kinda like rock shaped hats, so they're easy to store and move around. Other guys are using them as molds and filling them with great stuff and making lots of rocks out of 1 set. Gotta be careful with the great stuff, you'll start with a pebble and end up with a boulder in the house that you have to cut up to get outside lol.

yea i think rock crawling is my new love time to start on a 2.2 and get some more rock

charlie what is some good sites to look for 2.2 stuff
