bumper and arms I would go with and you should be fine.

the biggest thing is keep your eye on it and give it alittle bit to stop.

I heard there is some upgrade for the brakes but i have not found it.

Replace the spring on the brake linkage with some fuel line. Look into a chassis brace, the front of the upper chassis plate is easily broken, and it's a PITA to replace. I'd also look into some better servos, and a rx pack (if you're using AAs).

Man I miss my Jato. I have not ran it in three years or so! Yeah as several have said the brakes left a bit to be wanted for. To be honest I think the only thing I have ever broken was an A-arm and a turn buckle now that I think about it. They were broken in a top speed clip on a curb showing off. But for hitting concrete at 60mph....I was ok with the $10 fix. I had to put better tires for dirt, the Anacondas are good for pavement but no so much in dirt.

Thanks guys, i got the integy piggyback shocks for it and a duel chamber resonator and traxxas turnbuckle set and an integy air filter. I do wanna get better servos and brakes also

Do yourself a favor and get rid of the Integy shocks. They look pretty but usually don't work worth a damn. Their allow isn't very strong and the shafts bend easily. I know from personal experience.

Its funny you say that cause yesterday i was thinking Maybey I'll see what the reviews are on those shocks wand got the same response you gave me, oh well too late now there on the way, mabey I'll try and sell them. Are the stock ones better?

I had some integy piggy backs on my revo and I'm not even a hard basher and the push rod of the shock broke off at the treads stock shocks hold up better in my experience

I used the stock ones on my Revo until I decided to upgrade to the TiN shocks with no durability issues.

I've got the alum.cotrol arms, toe links/tie rods on mine.jato's are very fast but the need some room to stop, and even on pavement i have to ease into it our it will just light the tires up.but getting back to upgrades I'm very happy with the alum. pieces

Aluminum suspension parts are bad news. They tend to bend and then break when they are straightened. You're better off with the stock pieces than aluminum IMO. The best upgrade is the RPM arms.

Yeah, your kind of starting off bad with those shocks. Maybe you will get lucky. I run the stock shocks with some stiffer springs. The traxxas digital 2075 servos are good enough for the jato for steering and t/b duties. Can be found cheap on ebay.

The brakes do suck, but you can either mod it to use two brake disks/3 shoes, buy an extended brake hub and use 2 disks/3 shoes or buy a full 2 disk/3 shoe kit from integy or a few others.

I went the cheap route since I had a few spare parts on hand from my old losi xxx-nt and used it's brake shoe/hub. Had to grind the hub out of the disk a bit to fit the spare non-traxxas hub I had, but it worked out. I also got an alloy brake arm to remove as much flex out of the linkage as I could. It will now lock up the wheels easily on pavement and grass with 17mm buggy tires/wheels on it. I can't recall for certain, but if the brake pivot uses bushings, replace with bearings. Less likely to get slop. You have so little movement with the linkage that any slop means you go from having brakes to no brakes pretty easily.

As for the other bits, rpm front skid, rpm arms all around, get a few spare rear towers and a spare rear trans case to have when you snap yours and you should be good to go for a while.

Couple pics of my brake setup:

Wow that's a neat setup, by the way the integy shocks look great but they suck so i ordered the Revo shocks. I should have done the research before i bought the integy shocks but its live and learn i guess. I also got a bunch of rpm stuff for the jato and e revo 1/16 vxl. I also wanna thank you guys for helping me

I made a brace out of steel... was what I had at the time. That was after the switch side broke and I just used a piece of scrap steel to go across the break. Has been that way most of it's life. lol
