While I do not seal any engine with rtv, lots of people use high temp rtv without issue.

There is almost always someone in a LHS that always thinks he knows more than the customer.

Yea that's what I thought it was and I've ever heard of any problems coming from using rtv unles you over do it and get it in your engine

I always use copper seal sealant. Never have had an air leak issue what so ever in 15 years or longer in the nitro hobby. I used to purchase the aircraft engine sealant from the LHS, then realized its just the same copper seal found at the auto parts store.

Ok another question i have a brand new tank for my jato it came with the plastic roll bar/ez start connecter mount I desided what the hell y not put it on I pull it out of the bag and the line that goes to the tank is like twice the length as the one I have on and the one that goes to the exhaust is almost hafe the length as the old one.
Could the lines on the old tank be to short or are the new ones to long.
The new one that goes to the carb is about a foot long and the one that goes to the exhaust is about 4.5 inchs on the new tank

The lines in the old tank are about 8 inches to the carb and 6.5 to the exhaust.
I didn't notice it till I pulled the tank off idk why I didn't lol
I'm not sure but I think both tanks lines are wrong length.

Does anyone know what the length is supposed to be?

You can make the line that goes to the tank and carb as long as you want, the longer it is the more run time you'll have if you flip on your lid.
