James Bond on snowboard

Just watched the opening sequence for the James Bond movie, "View to a Kill". 1977. (AMC marathon)

This is the one where JB skis and then takes teh wrecked snowmobile front ski and snowboards it down the glacier. Although they made the board in the movie to look like a snowmobile front ski, it is really an early generation snowboard like we were discussing on another thread. It looks a lot like the old fishtail Burton we all had back then. The time period of the movie would have been about the time I was first snowboarding. You can see the diffferent handling style the boards back tehn had. First of all, teh body position was to the far rear.

U need to try a new all mountain or freeride......it's like gliding on air in deep powder......if you set it (stance) back you don't have to use your calves as much....next trip take a lesson...if you start letting your trailing arm pull your chest back, use the handlebar method......

picture cutting into the mountain on a steep trail like a huge heelside (backside) carve that goes on forever. then just rolling over to a layout frontside that keeps going on just as long and you are going 35+ ....skis don't even come close..........did I ever mention I REALLY MISS THE F-ING SNOW!!!!
