Glad you got it, it's a sweet truck!

If I understand your question right, you would want a little sidewall give when crawling a steep incline or over rough surfaces so the tire has more surface area to conform and grab onto obstacles.

You want a firmer sidewall when going horizontal (side hilling) on a steep surface so the tire doesn't roll sideways and cause you to tumble.

Finding the right compromise for your driving style and terrain is what your ultimate goal is.
 
Vent the tires and add weight to the axles. They'll give.

If you just want new rubber, can't go wrong with Pro-Line Hyrax in Predator compound. Still need to be vented and weight added to get the sidewall give you're after. I'm not a fan of rubber inserts, personally but they can also help add some tire flex without the need to add as much weight to the axles as you would have to with foams.

I like the 3d printed versions from twobrothers better but not a fan of the price tag.

I have not tried them but I do agree with that sentiment on the price.
