I have a TRAXXAS Tmax 2.5, and want to make it rear wheel drive. The problem is if I remove the front half of the drive shaft, the disc brake goes with it... Any suggestions?

PS: mine is the one with the black tranny.

Hi mate i done the same . Take off the front driveshaft by taking out the 2 hey pins 1 on the front where it connects to your front diff and there is another one were your disc brake is slip the front driveshaft off and put the disc brake end in hot water for 5 mins then take it off the ball joint

You should also do the same to the front axles or your going to have the drag of the front diff.

When I did it, I just bought the necessary parts so I could put it back easily without risking breaking the ears on the axles taking them apart and putting them back together.

This for the brake hub:

These for the front wheels:

they have a kit for rear brakes you should look into that and ash this tranny uses the brake disk that has a hex for a whole and instead of the two pins that hold the disk.... but it should still work..
