Is the UDR gear noise normal?

As shown in the video above, my UDR is making a rough noise. In the video, we conducted a test to increase the output to 100% using a fully charged 4s battery.

As mentioned in the previous thread, I originally replaced the gears with the 27:51 stock ratio to fix the noise from the 31:47 gear combination, but now there is another loud noise.

The gear clearances are perfect, and the front, rear, and center gearboxes have been serviced. It appears to be an issue between the spur gear and the pinion. Is there a solution?

Hmm. I don't have one so I can't compare, but at around the 6:30 mark he is doing full throttle rips and it has a very similar sound to your truck.

If the noise changed, you should probably look things over. I am going to assume you are new to RC. One thing to watch for is any time your RC comes off the ground, if you are still on the throttle when it lands, that is a very hard hit to the drivetrain. If you have been doing that, you may have some gears messed up.

But just listening to that, it sounds perfectly fine to me. Some RC's are much noisier than that. That doesn't mean yours is OK, because I've never owned one.

My advice, any time you suspect something, start going through the drivetrain. Pinion and spur, diffs, etc. Check bearings too. Especially if it's been wet.
