I went to run my Losi XXXNT the other day and had no servos. I replaced all batteries in controller and car...nothing. Checked for power with a digi meter and had power throught the switch to the receiver....still nothing. The controller is an Jr X2 or something like that (not in front of me). Could I have a setting on the controller wrong? When I turn the car on and controller I do not even get the usual blip of power throught the servos like usual. Receiver Bad???

Its true. They never said that they put in any servos, so I assume they haven't put any in. You can't find out if your receiver is working if there is no servos in them. But then, they say that they don't get the usual blip of power when they turn it on, so I am guessing they are in. Sorry.

Anyways, it's probably because the batteries you have put in are dead. Have you tried with new batteries? If you have, have you checked all the wiring?

When my recever got wet because part of the roof blew off my shop in a bad storm, I had the same problem, no servo blip or return to center kind of thing, so I new the servos were not getting power, sure enough, the receiver was bad. I ordered a new one and as soon as I put it in, everything powered up like it was supposed to.

LOL @ Coby......Yes there are servos in the car. And yes I changed all the batteries with new ones. It did get wet the last time I ran it and I sprayed it down with Den Alc. I didn't think this was a girlie car...can't get it wet?? Thanks for your reply TheMan, sounds like the receiver is bad. Can I do anything to the new one when I put it in to stop this from happening again?

Thanks guys.

Yes, you can wrap it with a baloon, along with your servos, or you can dip them in plasti-dip. In the tips section of RCNT, there is n article on waterproofing your electronics with plasti-dip, and in the T-Maxx section there is a thread that says "POST PICS OF YOUR T-MAXX" or something like that. On page 5 I believe it is, there is a picture of Lessen's T-Maxx. It has an escalade EXT body on it, and he has great pictures of the electronics wrapped in ballons.

It only takes a small amount of water to fry a receiver, so if you are going to get it wet you definitely need to wrap the electronics.
