I ordered a bunch of parts for my rc18t last week to get it going and after a week of waiting they finally showed up today. I got a new Futaba 3PL because a new tx and rx were needed. When I got everything plugged up I took it for a little test drive around the kitchen. I punched the throttle for just a second and it seemed like it stuck, but I wasn't sure. On the next round, it kept full thottle going for 5 or 6 seconds with my hand nowhere near the trigger, running into the wall and breaking the steering linkages I just replaced. After calling Hobbico, they told me it was an issue with my ESC, a Mamba micro pro. I had never had a problem with me esc before that moment. Do you guys have any ideas?

thanks, GRG

Narrow it down brotha. First make sure your Tx batteries are in good working order. If the ESC has a lipo cutoff, make sure it's not set to Lipo if your not running lipo. I would definitely reset the ESC to make sure all the input throws are correct.

I would guess a radio/rx problem personally. Not sure how to test it though...hmmmm.....Well, if you have another tx/rx, even an old am, put it on there and see if it has the same trouble, which would mean its the esc, if it doesn't, then its for sure a radio or rx problem. Might be worth spending $10-15 for a used radio setup just to find out if you dont have an extra.

Batteries are good, Has never been set to lipo, and the throws I didn't even think about. Wonderful.

I just turned it back on to try and reset the throws. I can't get it to do it again.

I've gained a little more knowledge about how its working. When the battery gets low It will do its own thing, but only if I give it full throttle. When it does it I also get no steering.
