Is it possible?

Ok, I am wondering if it is possible when an engine on an electric is sodered onto the red and black wires that it be sodered incorrectly? Here is why I am asking this. I am running my slash and it goes at a pretty decent speed, but then when I hit reverse, well it goes faster, fast enough to really kick up some dirt, gravel and what ever else. If I was to take a sodering iron to the wires and then reverse them, would that hurt the engine? it is the stock engine by the way, Titan 12T. Just think it is weird to have the reverse going (what seems to be stronger then the forward movement?

I think you need to program the ESC, that should fix the problem. If it was a brushless system you might need to reverse it, but with the setup you have, I would program the ESC first.

Set your TX endpoints to maximum before programming.

If you're using the stock radio system you probably wont have and endpoint adjustment, but make sure the throttle trim knob is set to zero, which is in the middle. You may have it turned all the way "down" which could be causing the problem.

When you upgrade your radio system, you will have endpoints that you can set, that will determine how far the servos will turn in each direction and how much throttle and brake you have, etc... It really allows you to fine tune your RC, especially when you upgrade to high end electronics. That's what Rob was hitting on, and he was right.
