I have to cut my grass here, too. Lost the dog in the yard yesterday! But there is good news! I'm going down to South Padre Island (SPI) and am taking the toys with me! I have to do a couple of hours worth of work on a new computer and then I get to play the rest of the weekend! Revo in the sand!

I wish I could take my toys to work......:nono:

Speaking of post whoring.... anybody seen or heard from Monkey Wrench? No wonder things are slow! He hasn't been posting!

Post whore? This coming from the guy whose wife is dictating the "baby-making" schedule! Must be tough as poop to walk around with that big ball-and-chain on your ankle! I kid because I care.

I've been popping on when I can, but I've been working at the hockey shop 12-14 hours a day these last five days or so trying to get the inventory straightened out. What a NIGHTMARE! We've been in full inventory mode for three days now, hand counting each and every item in the shop. Yesterday I had to verify our inline wheel inventory and counted, sorted and properly labeled over 2000 of those incline skate wheels! How these guys have managed to turn dollar one into profit over the years is beyond me! They have items that have three or four different SKU numbers for the same item and Monday I pulled close to forty pairs of skates (I'd say close to $4000 worth) off the floor because we had them, but no where in inventory or in our system can they be found! It's truly a mess and although I don't have an extensive retail background, I know this is not the way it should be!

Anyhow, been so busy there by the time I get home, I'm whipped. Try to catch a few minutes of the Stanley Cup playoffs and then I'm out. Only reason I have this opportunity is my oldest is home from school sick and my wife had scheduled a play date for my daughter and I didn't want her to miss a chance to play with a friend.

Looking forward to the weekend, though. Jet is making the trek to my home track for the first round of the RC Pro Series and I'm looking forward to getting some racing done! Problem is, haven't had a chance to get any of my rigs ready, so I'm hoping to take a half-day Friday to get them ready and get my gear packed. Godale, I'm in the same boat as you are in respects to needing a better system of getting my gear out to the track, so I'll be following that thread closely!

I'll try to be more of a whore for ya, Tom, but I think a reach around is in order!

Glad to hear you are doing well! This place just aint the same without ya man. Sounds like you are keeping more than busy though, which is great. I worked in a small sports store when I was in my teens and early 20's as a stock boy, and man I hated inventory too. Even though we were small, there was not computer database yet, and we had to count everything by hand. So even though on a lesser degree... I feel your pain.

Sounds like you have a great weekend planned. I am supposed to race this weekend as well. Our club racing season begins this weekend and I was hoping to turn a few laps. My stuff is not ready either so if I want to race I better get to it. The only thing that may stop me from racing is that my Aunt passed away this morning and the funeral may be Saturday. Not that I would complain about missing the race, family is so much more important. There is always another weekend to race.

I am absolutely in dire need to get organized so I am hoping that I can come up with a solution that will work the best for me, and my wallet! LOL Thanks to all the guys that have posted ideas.... it helps alot.

Well good luck this weekend my friend! Maybe we will see you and Jet in the pages of XRC one day! Take care my friend..... oh, and about the reach around.... Not a chance! :)
