On my trip to CO last week I came across this old truck parked next to an old mine in Cripple Creek.

Rolex can use it as a model for his next painting project.

Wow, that's beautiful. I think it would buff out nicely.
Just yesterday, one of the early pics of the Ugly Truckling showed up in the random gallery, and it looked like it had no windshield. I'd lose too much of the present look it has now, but my next one will be without glass.

I'm still in the process of rusting out the Axial Rat Rod for ImBroken, but I need to keep it as a working lid.

I've looked at those pics for a long time. I didn't miss much, but the rack of 3 lights above the windshield never dawned on me.
My next one, or maybe even the current one, will have a full interior. I have a feeling it will be the truckling since Charlie set me up with the PERFECT tires for it.

I'm trying to keep the UT looking like it still works, or I would already have used the technique I used on 1/24th scale, years ago. Heat up the frying pan and press the tire into a pat of butter till it wrinkles and flattens.

I got a little carried away trying to age a lid. Now it has so much time and work in it that it will never be run.
Here's the thread on the project so far. The Ugly Truckling

Beat me to it Candyman. Thanks so much. I'm absolutely honored by your comment.

I think the people in CO copied Rolex's lid to give their mine an 'old' feeling............... cheap fakes......LOL

Rolex, you know you did a good job when a real truck doesn't look as good as an RC body.
