I decided to replace the servo mount for a meus laydown servo mount on my tarantula built 🤦🏻‍♂️. It was so easy on the ripper but when I replaced the mount I realized even with the stock servo there is a clearance issue. The crusher claw servo did not fit at all! Have you guys experience this?
Any suggestions to fix this, I also bought these files for servo friendly panels but it did not clear it, the creator of the files said my high clearance links were too long but they came out of my broco…I’m lost here. Please help 🙏

Also…I didn’t realize I had a 5mm + upgrade on my axles so now the steering link is too short 😱

I opted for a traxxas metal gears servo and I swapped the crusher claw servo to the ripper. Perfect fit 👍.
Both are a great upgrade from the stock bodies.

If I were you, I would throw that Traxxas servo in the garbage and get something like reefs or any other servo. Just no spektrum, or Traxxas. They are RTR servos so they suck. Some of the spektrum ones are super good like the one I have in my rusty 4x4, but then again it’s a $100+ servo. I’m pretty sure savox makes some servos that would fit that.

Looks great! Have you had a chance to run it? If so does it feel a lot different?
I’ve run it indoors over small obstacles and it is a great crawler. I’m taking it to the local rc 4x4 course on Sunday.
I will replace the servo when and if it fails.
