It only June and I'm already sick of yard work. I spend a good half day on my lawn then go to my moms house and do her lawn (about 35 minutes) and three days later it's time to do it again. I mowed the lawn Saturday and it already needs to be done again...I'm sick of this crap!

Spray Round-Up on the whole thing and forgetaboutit.

Takes me about 3 hours just to mow Mom's back field. Another 2 for the rest of it.
Just bought a new rider for out there and I'm still pushing mine.

Not to derail the thread. But came in from work last night water all around the fridge. Not cold enough to make ice now.
Ol lady just called, her Bronco won't start

Always something.

Well right now we haven't had signifigant rain in over a month now so nothing is growing right now. Other than that, I just cut mine so short it burns up. At least at this point I only have to cut grass once every two weeks. It drives my father-in-law crazy because he says I cut the grass to short.... LOL

All in all you're gonna.........kill the lawn by the fall.

Oh, sorry man, wrong thread.

LMAO!!! Actually I don't purposefully cut it low to kill the grass... as long as we get rain the lawn is perfectly green... it just drives my father in law nuts... sort of gratifining in a sick and twisted way. LOL

I'll mow my lawn every day, as long as I don't have to shovel snow for 6 months!

Thats easy for you to say, you have a yard full of sheep

Spray Round-Up on the whole thing and forgetaboutit.

I thought about that but my wife didn't agree. Heck I would have been happy spraying the front ditch with round up but she says it looks better when I use a trimmer instead.....That darn ditch is about 5 feet wide, 4 feet deep, and over 200 feet long. I go through a lot of trimmer string!

i have a better idea....

hire a landscaper! haha thats what we did. they come once a week and it looks like a pro baseball field...

You guys are heartless. You get yards with grass. All we get is a nice crop of sand burrs.

but i can't have my dream of having a track in my backyard :(

If it ever quits raining long enough for everything to dry out I plan to put something down this summer. It will be more of a bashing ground rather than a track...I think LOL

I hear you on the ditch. There a royal Pain In The A**! When I got back to my uncles in Iowa every summer for 3 weeks he makes me mow and edge. His back yard if sooo big huh. It sucks. He pays good though so I do it anyway lol. But the ditch scares the living crap out of me, usually I end up using a weed wacker too. Luckly he has a tractor with a mower on the rear so his yard takes me 3 hours total to mow the big stuff, then go back with a rider and clean the edges. Shure is differnt in california though. My yard, at least my front yard i could spit across it, and the rear is bairly big enough to drive a mini-t in. But 2 differnt world I guess. I can't wait I'm taking my revo with me this year, all that land and so little nitro!
