Yes get the red RTV, you need it for the heat. And very good point Olds! The Trinity header is a piece of poop to put it mildly, it doesn't come close to fitting right. When you go to HobbyPeople pick up Traxxas P/N 5362, it's the fuel tank o-ring. You'd be suprised what an o-ring will do even if you think it's just a knick.

Should it be okay to use the high heat silicon i use on my dirt bike. And ya i have a trinity pipe but i use the stock header.

My car did the same, got low on fuel and stalled for no reason.Took my tank out and it had a small split in the seam..Hang in there champ these guys know what they are talkin about. Its good to see help is at hand when these things occur.Your'e not done yet, dont give up so easily...hang in there..

Heres an update. On friday i took it to two hobby stores including ultimate and they couldnt get it to run and couldnt figuar it out. Saterday i went out to the dester to ride dirt bikes and took my car to screw around w/. Then i started to notice a yellow substance coming out of the exaust. I is really thick and iv never seen any thing like this in my 5 years. So now I'm taking the back plate off to seal it and thaking the head off to see if there is something on the top of the piston. Has any one seen this yellow stuff though and might know what it is. And the 9 inch pressuar line didnt work either.

Thats crazy :ponder2:

I really don't have a logical idea on that one but I would pull that whole fuel system off and clean it out real good.

It's normal for yellow/brownish gunk to come out. It's only oil from the fuel as it doesn't burn off in combustion. It just builds up in the pipe. Remove your pipe and flush it out. It may be possible that your pipe is so packed with it that it's not performing properly and it's effecting the tune.

Just curious, what fuel brand nitro/oil content are you using? I used to see that a lot when I ran wildcat brand that was 20% nitro/14% oil back in the day when I had my xxx-nt. Since then, I pretty much only burn trinity MHP and I still get an oil residue, but not as heavy.

It would literally pour out of the pipe when I tilted it.

I'm using trinity 20% and nothing else. I just took the enjen all apart and the top of the piston looked burnt but the sleve looked ok. I just dont get why it wont run. I guess ill seal the back plate and put it back in and take it to the hobby shop and see if the tuning specialist can fix it. He waset there on friday hopefully he can figuar it out if not i dont know what to do.

When you went to ultimate who did you talk to? If you go back tell them you want Moto to look at it. He's been dealing with these engines longer then I've been alive! He knows his stuff!

I'm runing 20% trinity but my first gallon i ran 20% traxxas i dont see why that would screw anything up. I took the enjein appart and the top of the piston looks a little burnt but the sleve looks okay. What to do What to do!:ponder2:

Changing the fuels shouldn't make much of a difference. It will effect the tune, but not that bad

If you're having so many troubles out of the engine, then I'd junk it and put an .18 TM in it. It's cheaper than spending as much money as you have just to find out it's your mill.

There is definitely something wrong with it if two shops couldn't put their finger on the problem. They sound honest at least. The shops around here would have said bad engine from the start just to make a few extra dollars quickly.

O.S. Max engines hold their tunes alot better than TRX mills do. You'll be much happier with an engine that will start and run great without question.

That's what I'd do. I don't have too much patience.
