When you turn the remote and the car on, is the carb open or closed? Take the air filter off so you can see what's happening. Don't start it!

Where's the trim on your radio adjusted to? The knobs on the controller. One's for centering the steering, ones for the throttle. Try turning the one for the throttle down. If it's set in the middle, you'll have to take the horn off of the throttle servo, close the carb, and while the linkage is in position with the carb closed, put the horn back onto the servo.

Thanks alot matt it worked but now the igniter has ran out of charge so i will give it ago tomorrow :)

No problem. Grab some fresh fuel and a couple of glow plugs when you get a chance. If you have a hard time with it over heating, richen the lsn a little. If that don't help, the engine may need sealed. Don't worry, it's easy. Get 'er running and see how it runs, first. Get a temp gun asap if you don't have one. Above all else, make sure it's smoking good. We'll get into tuning it and making sure it's good for the long haul later.

Hey agen, matt i closed carb thing but guess what i start it up and full throttle again its mad....help?

You may have a big air leak. The only way to tell is by testing for it. Do a search on here and look up squirrels videos on youtube. Is the radio gear working right? Steering working? With your finger off the trigger, is the carb at idle(closed)? Does it open up when you squeeze the trigger? Check that stuff out and post back. We'll get ya goin'.

With my finger off the trigger the carb is wide open and when I squeeze the trigger the carb closes.

You need to get it closed(sitting on the idle screw. There should be roughly a 1mm gap when closed.) You need to go back and do what we talked about yesterday. See if you can turn the trim down on the radio, and if that doesn't cut it, you need to pop the servo horn off of throttle servo and adjust it accordingly.

Ok, the trim hardly closes it that much, have you got a picture of what the servo looks like, or where its located? :)

right we have progress it has stopped full throttling but now it wants to continuously cut out....?

Now it wont start....

Control reverse switch on the controller!

Jeez, you know these things are dangerous, is there no one can supervise you?

I didn't see that post and he obviously doesn't have anyone to help him. Ease up a little. What he meant was that there is a switch on the remote that reverses the direction the servo moves. They should be labeled 1 and 2. You want to switch 2 if your still having the problem. If you figured that part out and you can't get it to stay running, adjust the idle screw a little. Tighten it. Watch for the carb to open a little. Just adjust it a little at a time until it will idle.
