Hey guys i got i rush evo two years ago and it worked fine for a year then this year i tried to get it running again, i got it started then it kept cutting out..... now it just wont start! :@ I have checked glow plug fingy and thats fine I'm pulling like a b**ch and it wont start plz help thnx guys.

How old is the glow plug? just because it glows orange doesn't mean it doesn't need to get replaced.

Is your glow plug igniter charged? or if you have a sub cell one is the cell good?

Are you making sure that you prime the engine before you try to start it?

If it's cold outside, you should warm up the engine inside with a hair dryer before you go outside.

Erm the glow plug glows i dont know wether to get it replaced should i ? also i keep the car in the garage and it cold in there so i will try warming it up now.
I charged the igniter for about 2 hours is that enough.
Also how do i check if the fuel is going in when i prime it......:/
Thnx dude

You could try and replace the glow plug, you never know.

Yeah, try warming it up that usually works for me.

I don't know what kind of glow igniter you have so i don't know how long you are supposed to charge it for.

Take off the fuel line that is going from the gas tank to the exhaust and blow into it is one way, or put your finger over the stinger of the exhaust and pull for a little bit. If the pull starter gets hard to pull, STOP PULLING! That means your engine is flooded so you take the glow plug out, flip the car over and then pull without a glow plug in it.

Stinger ? lol I've warmed the engine up and it sounds a little better but still not starting :(

also i have found a new glow plug so i will try that thnx pal

Try the new glow plug, the stinger is where the smoke comes out of the pipe, put your finger over it and pull.

Still nothings happening i have put my finger on the stinger and pulled a few times then tried to start but nothing, do i have to have the car switch on?

I have even tried to flood the engine but i wont lol is that a problem?

It may also be the fuel too then, what kind of fuel is it?

Try the new plug and maybe get some new fuel, and make sure the car and transmitter are on, it should work then.

how long should i keep pulling for until i should I've up lol :|

and its tornado model engine fuel

When your pulling it with your finger over the stinger do you have the glow igniter on or off?

Was the car stored with fuel in it? If so, get new fuel lines, glow plug, clean the carb, flush the fuel tank out with da or fresh fuel. Your fuel is probably the main problem. Get some fresh byrons 20%. Not traxxas. Charge the ignitor until the battery is slightly warm to the touch. If it was stored properly, with all excess fuel burned and plenty of after run in it, just get new fuel lines and a glow plug.

Hey guys i got my evo started with the remote off then i started with the remote on then the car went mad on full throttle any advice?

Always check your radio gear before you start the engine. Do a range test and make sure everything is working right. Linkage adjustment and what not...

i dont know how to do that and what is right and what is wrong i got this for a present i dont know any tec talk dude :/

Range test= Walk away from the vehicle with the electronics on and see how far your RANGE is. Linkage= When your finger's off of the trigger, the carb is at idle(1mm gap in the carb throat). When you squeeze the trigger, it opens the carb all the way. When you push the trigger, the brakes work. Make sure the batteries are fresh too duder. No need to pm me, either.
