so me being dumb i fixed my car arms sets and ran it today for some reason my idle was high and when i adjusted the idle needle i could only make it idle faster not slower i turned it counter clockwise to make it idle slower but i think i twisted it to far and i think it popped out of position so now when i start it, it just goes full throttle . ow to i fix this problem and get the needle back to where it needs to be my car is an rs4 evo 3 +. this was a dumb newbie mistake plus frustration. Thank you for any help on how to fix it and put it bac together.:(

Turn the trim on your radio down to zero. Find the groove on the carb slide and line it up as close as possible to the needle. start threading the needle in, and when it stops, wiggle the barrel as necessary while turning the needle slightly till it finds the groove and goes in farther.
Keep the trim set at zero. It's only there for starting and warm up. Set the idle while holding the brake.

alot of the trim and settings are set to specifics of motor and type of vehicle... my best answer would be to get the idle screw back in and turn it almost flush with the outer edge .. hold the brake, crank it up and richen it then idle down and lean it back out.. hope this helps.. and i know the feeling of this.. soooo many times

If your trim is turned up, you will NOT be able to lower the idle past that point. If you need the trim for anything other than starting or warm up, your engine is not tuned correctly.

i got it fixed thanks for the help gotta love these forums thank you all
