I was looking for a cheap 12T to replace the one thats dying in an 11 year old's Traxxas Grave digger, and came across these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1653425556...3VGLWeIvkK/RfitXD|tkp:Bk9SR5qix7HYYA&LH_BIN=1 Looking at the label, they are clearly a rip-off of Traxxas Titan motors. The only reason i even started looking is because i have very bad luck with Titan motors. I think the longest i have had a new one last is 2 weeks, running it every day.

Csnt be no worse then the 12t. 2007-2009 it was a coin flip on my T12t. Some lasted longer but in the end they all died. This was nimh and factory gearing.

I bought 2 Titan 12T's last fall, did the water break in, and they lasted 4 days for one, and 9 days for the second one, and all he runs are nimh with stock gears, on a Stampede and a Rustler.

I have a 35T "TLTAN" and ESC I haven't installed yet, planning it for a little brother's crawler. I'll follow up with how it does

There's counterfeit Holmes Hobbies motors out there too. Intellectual property rights simply aren't a thing in China.

Brushed motors are either cheap and disposable (Titan) or expensive and rebuildable. Either way it's more cost effective to get a brushless system in the long run. Although I like the smoothness of brushed...

That all depends on the brand. I have had both cheap, and better brushless stuff last, and i have also had cheap and better stuff fail. Personally, since all my cars are 1/10TH, on 2S i stick with HW 10BL60 ESC's and GoolRC 3500KV to 4300KV 3650 motors. That combo seems to work best for me. I avoid Castle, because i have had several of their ESC's fail drastically, because they dont do well in cold and snow, and i have never used anything from Holmes. For this truck though, I'm sticking with cheap brushed stuff, because of who it is for.
