True. I was thinking of a 2wd since they are cheaper then the 4x4s. Heck I don't even have a 4x4 basher so why would he get something more fancier than me? Lol

Possible. Can give him the TT02. Can fix it up, but I don't have a spare Rx/tx, battery, and charger for him. And I don't want to spend more money on that money pit of a car, which if I do it will be an endless money pit for him. Not to mention it won't be the best since the dang thing won't drive straight.

Been thinking about directing him to the new Arrma 2wd brushed or 223s models, or the groms. Just watched a fury 223s review and all the jumping and bashing he is doing, looks way more durable than a Traxxas 2wd any day

I run mostly antenna less flysky receivers in mine. I also use Futaba receivers. Ones with antennas I wrap up and tape to the receiver inside of the receiver box. Makes it cleaner and no need to worry about a antenna getting damaged.

I just ripped the antenna off my spektrum receiver. Now I know its a coax antenna but no one can say which goes to what pad.
I think I got it too hot trying to clean the old wires and gallon of solder off the board anyways.
Your friend can buy my DX4C radio for $50. Its still got the sticker on the screen! Its seriously a brand new, 10 year old radio!
