I bought an OFNA Ultra LX Comp. Everything I wanted it to do and more for $275.00 shipped. (as long as they send the buggy without a problem) Cheap and RTR with the 8 MM axles and .26 Engine. I can't wait to convert it to my rally car and onroad ankle breaker. Beating the piss out of this buggy will be so much fun and I finally have a friend who is now trying to buy one.

" It's a great day when you can get someone interested in this obesession we call a hobby".

Scott

congrats on the buggy. Even if you DONT convert it to an onroad I'm sure it will be great. Welcome to the wonderful worl sof 1/8 scale racing.

Good deal, glad you got one and are happy with it. Before you turn it into an on roader... take her off road a few times... it may change your mind although on road is funn as hell too... you just can't beat bashing these things though.

I finally had a friend of mine take the plunge and bought the same buggy. I have finally added a newbie to R/C's. One down many more to go. I have told him about this site and I'm sure he will be joining as soon as he gets his buggy.

As for the onroad stuff with the buggy, I will mostly be using it as a rally car with an Evo 6 lid. I am building a track in my yard for it. I have the go ahead from my wife to cut down a few trees in the next few weeks and then I'll have about 80' by 175' area to do my track. Then he and I can do some racing. I think I'm going to use some drain tubing for the corner walls on the track and paint them. I'm also building a stand about 7' to 10' feet in the air to see the whole track while racing. I can't wait to get started. I will show some pics when I finish.

Thanks for the support guys. Scott.

hey congrats on the new buggy..you should go run it in the dirt for a while. you mite not want to convert it after that:whistle:

I'll be running in the dirt but in a Rally car converstion. I can also use it as a buggy and an onroad. I looked at rally cars they don't hold up like a buggy does and I was down in Wellsboro Pa this weekend for the rally car racing and it was pretty awesome. My friend who has many toys drove his 420 HP EVO VIII. He just sunk about 5 grand to go from 276HP to 420 HP and we had fun hauling a$$ on the dirt roads. So I'm hooked on rallying and that is why I'm making the track for the buggy and my Savage .26.

Damn this hobby is great.

Scott.

that sounds cool. I've allways wanted to take a ride in a real rally car.

Well his isn't a rally car but we did drive the dirt roads they race on at a pretty good speed. He wants to race and he has the cash to do it. He runs at Watkins Glenn with his Evo though. Then on monday he drives it to work. He's not married and his dad owns a large machine shop. It must be nice.

I'm just grateful that a friend of mine finally bought one so I have someone to bash with, We wouldn't pull the trigger on an MT(to much cash). So now I can test my skills or lack of and race with someone. Thanks for the support guys. I will enjoy beating the piss of my new ride.

Can't beat having buddies to bash with, zandor, itsmesag and his bro all live with in 20 min of each other so we bash all the time, it rocks.

I've been waiting for a year to bash with someone in my area,
and both having the same ride will make it very competitive and fun.
