For some reason my fuel refuses to go into engine! It seems that's it stuck. Even when I plug my finger over the exhaust and give it a pull or two, there is a lot of pressure on my finger and the fuel still refuses to move up the tube to the engine. Oh yea, I just installed an inline filter because the tank filter fell out. And new exhaust and header cuz they got busted too. Can someone plz tell me how to get the fuel to be unstuck? Thx Castrol

Check to make sure you did not put the filter in backwards, they are directional. What engine are you using? What happens if you blow into the pressure line?

Pull the fuel line off the carb and blow into the pressure line where it connects to the pipe, if fuel comes out the line the problem could be a clogged needle in the carb, if it does not check the new filter, as well as the lines back to the tank.

Nc listed a couple good places to start. I would actually pull the pressure line off the exhaust and blow into that if nothing happens pull the line at the carb and see if it flows through to the end of the line by the carb. If it comes out the line where it connects to the carb then the line and filter are fine.
If not then pull the filter and blow in the pressure line if it comes out its an issue with the filter. If it doesn't come out inspect filter if not blockage in tank or lines.

If it comes out by the carb reset carb to factory settings and see what happens because you either have trash in the carb or the neddles have gotten closed..

I am gonna say that you probably have a needle closed, damaged or trash in carb... let us know what happens X

hi, ok I just blew into the pressure line, and I can see the fuel going into the carb like normal, but when the fuel is about 2/3 way down or less, nothing goes in! So with only 2/3 of the fuel, I took it off the carb and blew in it, and nothing comes out the other way. So I took off the filter and blew in it also, and nothing comes out. So I filled to tank to he top and blew in it, and the fuel does come out (with filter on) only until 2/3 of the fuel is left then nothing comes out. What I found that instead of nothing coming out, air came out!

Ok well it sounds like you may have a hole in your tank possibly. All the stuff you said you replaced above and the in tank filter coming loose makes me think this thing to a hard hit did you have a good wreck or something?

No try this remove the pressure line from the pipe and blow into it while you pinch the line that goes to the carb. Pinch it closed close to the tank. See if you hear air coming from the tank or if fuel leaks out. Sounds like you may have a crack in the tank or busted tank seam.... Keep us informed...X

If you don't hear anything coming out when you blow into it then you may have a busted pickup tube in the tank also.

I have done the following that u have suggested, and I do not hear any coming out. So I think that you are right about the busted pickup tube. So I have decided to go and get a new tank in 15 minutes.( hopefully that's the problem! Thx X

Normally I would think that would not be likely but if the internal filter came loose then i suppose it could have banged around and broke the pick up tube. Again let us know if that fixes it. X

There is a very easy way to check tanks and filters for air leaks. Get a small clear plastic bowl big enough to submerge your tank in. Then connect new fuel line to the pressure line and outlet, submerge the tank completely under water and close one end of the fuel line, blow in the other end, if you have a leak it will bubble in the water. This works for the fuel filter just as well.
