well I'm thinking of selling my t-maxx. how does this work? do i get a check from paypal after the money has been sent to them or how do i get the money? also is there a charge to pay for using paypal?

what is the whole process of sending the item out and recieving the money?

Your paypal is connected to your checking account. The funds can be transfered back and forth. Money is sent from paypal to another registered users id (his registered email with paypal).

well I'm 15 and I'm more than sure that my dad has a bank account. also, is paypal safe enough to give out your bank account? and how do you know when your money is available for you to pick up?

Your 15 you need your mother or father to set up a pp account for ya! ask them to do it..

yea i know that but i trying to find out so my dad can do all the stuff. i wont be doing any of that. he wanted me to find out.

Ok cool I my self have been useing pp for a long time now.Its the only way ill do any biusness on the net. safe and easy and instant money.. When you get money from some one it takes about 2 to 3 days for it to be deposited in your dads bank account..you can ask for a check from pp but it takes time to get it and it costs you money to get it..Not sure of how much they charge I have never done it that way...SO PP is a safe way to do buisness :2cents:

When the funds are available in your paypal account, you will know when you log in or paypal will also send you an email notifying you that it's there.

I have a Pyapal debit card that allows me to withdraw funds from any ATM maching as long as money is in the PayPal account. This way I have instant access to the cash and I don't have to wait for it to hit the bank. PayPal is very safe but you have to follow there agreements and rules to be fully covered should anyone try to rip you off. Always to ship items to a verified PayPal address. If you don't you won't be covered if the other guy says he didn't get the item and you'll be out the money and the truck.

You'll only be charged for funds if they pay with a credit card and I'm pretty sure you have to be a business member to accept cc payments. When you request funds, as long as it's the standard way or transfer you should not be charged anything. I think you have the option to request a check but it takes longer and there might be a service fee. I've been using paypal for years and it's the only way to go. Just a word to the wise beware of bogus e-mails about your paypal account, never click on links in e-mails unless you know it is truly from paypal. Paypal will always address you by name in an e-mail and will never ask for account information. When in doubt just go directly to Paypal and login to your account, if there's a problem you'll know. HTH,

Something not mentioned here - when you tell payPal to deposit the funds into your bank account, there is some miniscule fee that amounts to (I think) about 1%. It's not much, but call it the cost of doing business. For this reason it's a great idea to leave the money in the payPal account, then when you go to buy something and pay for it with PayPal, you don't lose that 33 cents or whatever. :D

so in order for pp to deposit the money into my dads bank account, my dad would have to give out his bank info? is it safe enough to give out your bank info?

jetmechg550:i have bought something using paypal but have never sold anything using pp. i thought the only way to buy something off the net is to use a cc. is this correct?
also can yall give me all the gory detail plz. can yall give me the step by step process from the guy ordering and me shipping and me recieving money plz.
I'm sorry for asking so many questions

I would suggest not messing with it. If I read this right you are gonna sell your T-Maxx. For a one time transaction I wouldn't go through the hassle of setting up a PP account. You are the seller, so you have little risk. The only downfall is that some buyers will only do PP transactions, but there are plenty of buyers out there that will send an MO or Cashiers Check.

My two cents,

Mr T

There's no fee on a money transfer to you account when it's done their standard way. If there is, I've never been charged!

Some online stores take paypal for payment. As a personal account you can have funds transferred directly from your account through paypal to pay for stuff instead of a cc. You can list up to four methods of how you want to pay one is the default. Paypal is a safe as you make it. They've been around for a while now and are now owned in some form or another by eBay so it's not some fly-by-night op. If you ever plan on doing anything with eBay, a PP account is pretty much a must have. Not required but more and more people are only accepting paypal. One thing I can say but I don't know your family's financial situation and don't need to but if you are able to setup an account and get a credit card for just internet transactions do it. This way if something happens you'll know right away and can take care of it. Checking accounts can be opened for as little as $50, and in most cases you'll get a debit card so there's your credit card! HTH
