i have a rs4 3ss right now that i take out bashing. I'm looking for something more, something bigger, something i can feel good about breaking. i need a truck. the problem is, i know nothing about trucks. could i get some input on some good trucks that are at least a liitle fast???

i guess i could do with a buggy also. i feel like nothings accomplished when i break my touring, except when the money is out my pocket. i need to break something that is made to be handled rough.

Na, you need a truck, buggy is more for racing (no offense nitromaniac), truck is all out brute bashing...........you should check out the Team Assosiated Monster GT, very well built, though it is running a .21 BB (comparred to HPI & Traxxas' .25), it's longer, and wider than both, bigger tires, has both electric and pull start, the built this truck to take some punishment............price tag is $499......here is a link to Team Assosiated spec page http://www.teamassociated.com/shusting/CatalogHub/kitspecs_mgt/mgt_kits.htm

A stadium truck or MT would be good choices. A buggy is more for racing.

OK, this may help in making a decision..........if you are looking for more speed and some mild off road action, a buggy or stadium truck is the way to go, if you are looking for major off road action and really want to rip some sh!t up then go for a Monster Truck, you will still get some decent speed but also get killer low end torque for the good off roading fun, not to mention much more ground clearence (and 4 wheel drive)................ I mentioned in an earlier post about the Team Assosiated Monster GT, but the HPI Savage 25 is a good MT also, good solid truck and is about $70 less than the T/A truck.

A mini T???? ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!! You're kidding right?? :stick: Too low to the ground and short run time, we were playing with one at the LHS, good kids toy.

i say a t maxx ... i had a savage, no fun to work on and have some problems, the t maxx is a good start off point and has a nice layout, the Monster GT looks good, but needs more power. i say t maxx all the way. it wasn't truck of the year twice for nothing.

whats the major difference between a stadium truck and a monster truck??

I think you'd have a lot of fun with a Savage 25 (Big Block Monster Truck). They are pretty burly and if you can break one of them, it's a pretty good acomplishement.

I have a buggy and that guys right, they are made more for racing. I'd really like to have a Monster Truck. I'm savin my pennies for a Savage to bash with next spring. :)

Have fun picking,
RobH

Stadium truck is 2 wheel drive, MT is 4 wheel drive.......ST is usually faster, lower ground clearence, less horse power, more easily broken parts..............personally from what I have read in the forums (General Nitro and HPI) here at RCNT more people have recommended the new Savage over the T-Maxx (even if T-Maxx was voted truck of the year twice) hmmm, wonder why that is?? As for the T/A MGT lacking power, I have to disagree again, it is still boasting a big block, even if it's only a .21 compared to the .25 it still has enough power to get the job done.

I have both a Tmaxx and Savage.. I wish the Savage had of been out when I was first looking in the MTs. The Savage is far better then a Tmaxx. My Savage has no problems climbing hills compared to a Tmaxx on the same hill. I would have to take a small run at the hill with my Tmaxx where as the Savage I could start from a dead stop at the bottom of the hill and it would climb it without any problems. Long live the BIG BORE. I have had my Savage do end over ends' that would have broken parts on a Tmaxx. Tmaxx is more of a beefed up 4 wheel drive stadium truck. Where as the Savage is a out and out Basher that can take a beating and still keep going. Also now with the Savage25 you have a Rig that can put a Tmaxx in it's place for speed but speed is not every thing. A Savage can out jump and handles better then a Maxx.

But this is just my observation of having both a Tmaxx and Savage. I should blow the dust off my Tmaxx some day but I am to busy running my Savage :D

that cen is badass. and i found a thread about it. thats something i wouldnt mind breaking. but ill still have the savage and tmaxx in my mind( the back for right now). thanks to everyone who helped me open my eyes more about MTs.

hot bodies has a conversion to make a savage into that . i would look at that before the cen truck ... the savage is a good truck i just had some bad luck i guess... just some advice, when you upgrade your brakes to hardcore (if you do) ... make sure to upgrade your tranny case, i ripped many screws out of my stock plastic ones ..

either way,. monster trucks are "the bomb" (sorry to sound like a tool , but its true) , i just ran out of money to maintain mine , being that I'm in college i need to be a little more gentle on breaking parts because I'm poor. after college or when i get more money , ill def. be back into monsters

is there a link i can go to so i can see about that conversion?? i went to hotbodies.com but it wasn't for rc's.lol thanks for the info.
