I just killed another MX8 fan mount. Is there a way to mount a fan to a MX8 without the stock mount?

yes you buy a piece of carbon fiber ..make yure its not gonna contact and motor or battery wires a few minutes with a dremel tool .some heat and a 2x4 to get 90 degree angle you made your own fan mount if you dont have a dremel a drill motor will also work to spin the dremel tool bit

My current idea is to find a square plastic tube 2.25" ID and cut the length to match my ESC. Bolt the fan to the top, Shoe Goo the ESC to the inside of the tube, and then Shoe Goo the whole thing to my ESC plate. It's a bit more complicated than that but that's the basic idea. Finding a plastic square tube seems to be an issue, a pill bottle would work if it were the right size.

Just get rid of the huge fan and buy one of the high rpm fans that are only 10mm thick. Would help out a lot.

The final chapter, Hyper Flow Fans fan mount is a winner. I trashed the truck and the fan is still connected to the ESC.
