I had just assumed it was some fancy pneumatic system to make it hop about like one of them hoopdies' rolling around on 100 spokes. :D

Hey guys so I bought that hump pack for the rustler and well it doesn't work. We'll there is no connection for it. Do I have to install a plug for it. It looks like Traxxas has changed this as well as cheaped out on the remote. Starting to lose faith in traxxas honestly. The transmitter doesn't even have throttle trim.

Does it not connect where the factory receiver pack connects? The one that holds 4 AA's? Even the Traxxas hump pack use's the 3 pin universal receiver connector. All the rustlers I have ever seen have the 3 pin, and the manual shows it still having a 3 pin.

I'm assuming we're talking about the 2.4 GHz Traxxas TQ transmitter? If so you are correct, it has no throttle trim adjustment, gotta make all adjustments at the car.

Edit: Should add that the TQ for electric cars has a throttle neutral adjust but still no trim. My statement just sounded a bit broad.

It should connect in place of the factory 4-AA cell pack using the 3-pin connector.

If you bought a hump pack for the car then it should fit, but in my opinion there's no need for one on the remote. If it doesn't fit you can always cut the connector off the old battery and solder it onto the new one.

And the charge jack is handy as it allows one to charge the pack without removing it from the car!

Glad you got it figured out, my apologies for failing to foresee the necessity.
