Does anyone use chassis nets still? Would one help this issue? 🤷‍♀️
Good question, they're still out there, not sure how effective they are. It seems they would work.

It seems like a too easy solution? Like I'm missing why ppl don't just do this... 🤷‍♀️🤣 I bet someone has tried it at least. 👍

My buddy has a Redcat Ascent 18, and it is by far one of the best mini crawlers I've driven. It's 100% stock, outperforming his Scout 1/18, and my Scx 24 that is modded. I am thinking of picking one up soon.

Yea, my thoughts exactly.

My solution might be to get a Redcat Ascent Scout and mod it for speed 😜. It would likely be a lame build thread, but could be a fun showcase.

I love following build threads! I think this is a pretty unique idea too. I would enjoy following the build and the wins and losses along the way. The showcase should show what is left after you finally broke 130mph and the wind tore it apart, piece by piece!!! 😎🤣
@johnnydmd and @Roog both have some awesome build threads and their cars haven't even hit the track yet!!! 😍
Whatever you build, take lots of pics and explain so noobs like me can get it too! 🤣

I don't think a body net would help in the Groms case, gravel gets wedged between the axles and the rims.

Awesome! You've helped convince me that this may be the path forward and I'll do a build thread (cuz I've been wanting to as well). Upside, Redcat has some nice machined metal parts, hopefully I can keep it grounded 😆.

@Roog has some sweet rigs. I'm following them both now 😉.

Single speed on the redcat. The scout is great looking but not quite as stable as the pickup. But still killer.

I love my Scout, definitely going to add some upgrades to it, but it crawls better than my trx4m defender out of the box

That's great to hear, I'm pretty certain that's what I'll get. It'll pair well with my FMS Land cruiser. I think the hardest part is deciding which color body. :)

Light blue or dark blue?
This guy
I like the orange, but it doesn't have that little bit of metallic like the blue or green. And since I just painted my SCX24 green...

Yes we want to see more build threads, the madder (sorry, I meant the more original) the better!
