i can't seem to find the specific gear thats causing these issues, but I'm abou tto just bguy a whole new transmission for the ecto,
could i put a 2 speed in it like the traxxas trx4 bronco has?
that would be dope

it seems to still want to perform and driv. and if someone didnt know it wasn't supposed to make that noise would probably just ignore it.
he\s on the shelf until i decide what to do. really open to suggestions.

Try replacing the bearings that support the gear shaft. If that doesn't work, contact the company and ask for help.

Is it a transmission issue or a drive shaft issue. 🤔 is there any damage to any of the connection points? Does seem to be a lot of wobble wich I would think means something is bent/ misaligned or loose.

the sound sounds like a trans issue, but the wobble implies its possibly both. I'm gonna have to just take the whole thing apart to look n see, its probly due for a cleaning anyways,

Once you've eliminated the "I think its..." you're best option is a teardown.
Go thru the WHOLE truck once and you'll KNOW whats up and if you think it still needs fixed or if its a wonk noise etc...
In this case it sounds like you've actually got something that needs attention.
Just throwimg this out...
I bought a car that was missing a bearing.
It still worked but was noisy and a bit chunky.
When I pulled everything apart, aside from missing bearing, i found the diff gear wore at an angle and the diff output shafts wore funny. The whole diff case was junk.
$50 in diff case for a $1 bearing. ☹️

You're better off to try and deal with a small noise now than to "wait and see".
