OMFG. All I can say.. is... IT DIDN'T BREAK.

I grew the balls... Well I got paid yesterday. I finally took off the hill. It's a 5 or 6 foot hill.. Right beside a ditch. First attempt I toilet bowled the ditch and managed to rip out of it. Mind you this ditch is almost 4 foot deep. Second attempt... OMFG. You can't describe it with words... I hit it, went flying, no idea of distance or hieght. All I saw was my truck in the air, the bounce from the rear hitting right a bit.. Bounce bounce bounce bounce.. Then me with my jaw on the ground.. running after it. The engine stalled sometime within the rolling. I would say the roll was 100ft or more, it just didn't stop. Only thing I though was.. "Oh S***" After all the dust cleared (It hasn't rained lately). I saw this, a truck.. Both front tires sitting awefully wierd. After I picked it up, one of the dogbones dropped, since the camber adjustment tie rod was popped off. I had to find these in the wreck radius. The other dogbone, two tie rods with the ball cups still attached. three body clips and two body protector circles, Air filter, battery pack..

I put it all back together, fired it up, and she ran like hell. :D

It was great! OMG I was officially scared. Watched my 400 dollar investment go flying like that :D

AoDaLiZeD, you crack me up man. You beat the snot out of that thing. I have to say I'm jealous how well your car holds up. I'd have to pick my duratrax up with a vacum if I did that.

Also, I think you've put more than $400 into your rc10gt if you count the blown engine and all the aftermarket parts you said you put in it.

thats awesome, its amazing what these R/C's can go through. are you gonna hit it again or was it just a lucky landing??

maybe i'll grow the balls once puberty kicks in :ahh:

Nothing like a wild stunt where ya dont break nothing to bring a big smile to your face :smoke:

Dude, you know how to tell a story. That was great. Congrats on getting you cherry popped. Its all down hill from here. Just kidding. Just dont get that "my car is indistructable" mentality. I know some that jumped once, landed, and now they are like ill launch off this ill launch off that. Just make sure you have fun. If at all it gets frustrating, find another hobby.

Dude, mjime. I found my hobby and I'm staying for a while. I love it. And yes Rob. I have put over 400 bones into it. One blown motor. 4 a-arms, A-Arm mounts, Ball Cups, Differential blowout, tires, rims, bumpers front and rear, bulkhead, springs, just rebuilt the shocks as well, fuel tubing, air filters, plugs, fuel, and a whole lot extra, but as for things I've actually destroyed.. I'll give a good guess...

A-Arms front only 9 bucks
rear bulkhead 3 bucks
shock rebuild kit 4 bucks
a-arm mounts 6 bucks
bumpers front and rear 12 bucks for RPM front stock rear
differential 14 bucks (I put 40 into it, I replaced everything, only had to replace 14 bucks worth of stuff)
servo 15 bucks

57 dollars worth of stuff I've actually destroyed... 90 for the motor, but that's expected.

And I will admit.. Yes, I beat the crap out of it. It is finally ready to head to the races. :) My RC10 has proven to be very tough. What do you expect tho.. I just got a new gallon of gas, so I HAD to play. Paychecks sucked for 3 weeks, so I finally got one and wooohooo time is back. Now I need batteries :) And as for the story, I just told you what happenend. I didn't exaggerate at all. I sware on the thing, I thought I destroyed at least 20 bucks worth of stuff... I know for a fact my steering servo needs replaced. But for what I do with it, it's still fine :D

I will say this again. I HIGHLY reccomend with ALL of my gratitude or whatnot RPM aftermarket A-Arms and bulkheads and even the A-Arm mounts if you have them. They ARE the best. Specially after the beatings mine have taken. :) Tree's Bricks... All kinds of hard things that stop the thing when it's going at high speed. :)

Lucky landing?!?! Lucky would be on four wheels :D

And actually I'll hit it again when I get this weeks paycheck and I know I can afford it if it breaks something. And last night I found out I DID break something. The little hole in the body where the exaust pipe comes out, well I can pull the body off without pulling the pipe out of the hole now. :) I can't believe the body has held up SO well. :)

what kind of fun are you having if you dont beet the crap out of it. OH WOW!!!!! lets go out and drive in circles in the local parking lot. Ah I dont think so, I say we find the biggest baddest jump and see how much air we can get or see what we can jump over. like my truck for say (2001 Dodge ram 1500 ) Ill post the pics when it happens.

I flipped mine upside down in a ditch last Sunday..upside down in a foot of water. Mac pipe was filled..aircleaner filled..and the motor was filled..thought it was toast.Even the electronics was gone.Pulled it apart..lots of WD40..15 minutes later..it started! only thing I had to do was wait for the failsafe to dry.

People believe that water will hurt these engines. My experience with engines has proven that to be untrue. The truth behind it is the parts in the engine. Will water kill an engine? Hell yes it will. An engine that is at full temp and lands straight into water can be destroyed. Metal is weak when put through a MAJOR temperature change. This is when things crack and break. That is what kills it. Now as for an engine that's running cool, it won't have the same effect, but it's always possible. The main thing to worry about with these engines, I would have to say is the crank bearings, and the connecting rod bearings. Those fail, the engine fails. As for water, water will take it's toll if you don't take action immediatly. Water can destroy the oils that protect the engine, and WD40 will seperate water from the metal, causing less corrosion and wear problems. WD40 is about the best thing ever invented in my opinion.

As for that, I will say this, these two stroke engines take a helluva beating when it comes down to it. And for how small they really are, that's alot to shove at an engine. Try stalling your 350 v8 at full RPM and not causing some problem :D. Two strokes, from my experience, are the best motors to take a beating, without valves and a valvetrain, you don't have to worry about things as much. :)

By the way, I just figured I'd ask this. Does doing research make you a "nerd"? I know I do alot of research, but god, my GF calls me a nerd everytime I go and look up things about bearings and seals... hehe
