Woke up about an hour ago to make coffee, looked outside and it looks like Charlie Sheen was partying on my roof and dropped his stash. I was hoping that I wouldn't see any snow for a couple of weeks yet... guess I'll be driving my truck today

yeah it has been so cold the past couple days I am expecting snow here soon here aswell!!!! I dont want to see it either I work on the coast and it sucks walking through a bunch of snow and then I dig bloodworms out of the mudflats so I have to walk through that mud aswell,, but when I have a vehicle playing in the snow is fun as hell!!!

I am not sure when I will get snow here in Korea. From what I have heard it is more ice than snow. It will be my first winter in several years because when i lived in Okinawa it never got below 45. Not sure how I am going to take winter now.

I'm a little bummed out about the whole thing really.. I won't drive the corvette in the snow. A lot of people panic in Pittsburgh when there is a little stuck to the road. What kills me is that people live here, and have lived here their entire life.. yet the can't drive in the snow. Even better, though they don't know how to operate a car in it they still drive. I think it should be mandatory to take a class on driving in bad weather conditions and if you fail then you have a restricted license so that people who can drive in bad weather can do so safely.

damn straight....i completely agree with that....i live in the mountains of eastern KY...every road here is steep, narrow and dangerous already...i actually love snow and driving in the snow whether it be a rc, four wheeler, or my pickup...but there are many of no driving punks around here that have no business on the roads if it rains...much less snows....

We got a little bit of snow here in NY on Thursday but it wasn't cold enough to stick. Now today it's almost 30 and there calling for about 6-12 inches! It's not even Halloween yet!

Up here in Ontario snow driving is one of those things people are good at. You can always tell someone who is new to Canada or driving because they suck at snow driving. The rest of us are powersliding in parking lots and driving safe.

I'm in utah so snow is right around the corner....

Its funny to see these other stays getting covered but not really anything our way yet....Ha ha to you guys! :p:

I am just praying there is no snow here for the first two weeks of December! I really do not want to be packing and driving a 22 foot truck in the snow. After the 12th of Dec I will never have to worry about snow again! :D

Just chicks in to little of clothing from then on Joe...

I'm surprised you guys down in Long Island aren't getting any of this storm. I'm about an hour northwest of you and we have a good inch of snow already stuck to the roads. It's still really coming down! :D

I'm from the Rockland County side of the Tappan Zee bridge, 25 miles north of mid Manhattan. I got a call from a friend of mine that there's close to 4" already, and the New York State Thruway is at a crawl.
I might be wrong, but I sure can't remember ever getting snow this early.

Sounds about right to me. I'm like 25 minutes away from rock land county, my aunt lives there. We got at least 4 inches already here and its still coming down very hard. Probably the soonest i have ever seen snow in NY.

We got snow last year in Aug. It did alot of damage because all the trees still had leaves and the snow couldnt fall through so it took down alot of trees into houses and on cars.

The Palisades mall is in West Nyack, and just up Route 59 would be Nanuet. Below the mall would be Nyack and north and south on Route 303 would be Orangeburg and Congers. If none of those sound familiar there are also a few little hamlets in between.

I just asked my cousin, its Valley Cottage. North of Nyack i believe.

Anyways, for the snow today we got a total of about 6-8 inches so far. And its still coming down a bit. Almost 90% of my town is without power because so many trees came down because the leaves are still on them and weighed down the tree with all the snow on it. I had to snowblow my driveways twice today!

Ah, cool. A little hamlet before getting to congers on Rt. 303.
She's in a nice area. I used to use the Veterinary clinic in Valley Cottage.

I've been trying since 5 O'clock to reach a neighbor up there, and 4 1/2 hours later, I still can't get through. Cordless phones don't work without power to the base.

Wow, Washington Square Park. Leaves still on the trees in New York. This is a real Nor-easter.
