I guess bad things do happen in 3's

  • Today was fun up until the last tank of fuel. I was WOT and went to take a turn and nothing happend and ended up crashing into a metal pole. All of this must have happend on the last stretch of my run. Well here it is... lost screw that holds the servo saver on, blew out the front of my HB pipe (so I guess this isnt a good pipe for the Picco 26), and a rear turnbuckle tie rod. Other than all this, it was a fun day!!!

Man I would send that pipe back! That shouldnt have happened! They will more than likely replace it. Or, JB weld or Liquid Steel it. But then it will be prone to happening again.

We couldnt find a THS pipe for that new mill, however, we can't even get the new mill. I guess you are one of a lucky few hundred that already have one. Did you pre-order yours?

Thats what I'm thinking, just send it back an hopefully they will replace it. I ordered the engine the second day it came out. I have also heard that there was only 500 of the Picco 26 made for OFNA right now! KWONG- its a Savage.

I think you are luckier than that! I heard only 300 today. I officially have one on order.

You like it that much huh?

WOW only 300!! Thats crazy. Yes I love everything about it. Very stong and fast. You will be satisfied with it. Do you think its possible that the HB pipe can't handle the power from the Picco, and that why it blew out like that?

Well you are just breaking it in too so you can't be blasting the hell out of it, who knows. It could easily be a defective pipe too. How was it performing? What pipe are you going to drop on it now?

Well I've run about a half gallon through it, so I think its pretty well broken in. As far as the performance, its great on the low end (wheelies) but I think its got more to show for on the high end. I'm thinking maybe that HB pipe was holding it back some. I'm thinking about the THS pipe. BTW I was just looking my truck over, and I think the impact of the crash made the rear shock tower push into my header because the exhaust gasket is sliced all to hell. I'm assuming thats why the pipe broke. Goes to show you how fast this engine is:banana:

I find that "bad things happen in threes" thing way too funny. My wife and her family believe it.

1.) lost screw that holds the servo saver on
2.) blew out the front of my HB pipe
3.) rear turnbuckle tie rod

Now that you have a sliced exhaust gasket, does that mean you start over at 1 again? Watch out! You have another two more bad things comming! :x

Why can bad luck follow the fibonocci sequence? 1 bad thing, 2 bad things, 3 bad thinds, 5 bad things, 8 bad things, 13 bad things, 21 bad things...

Anyway, :OT:

Hope you get your ride fixed soon. We all know how it sucks to see it sit on the shelf. :(

I'm hoping that its not gonna start over again. I'd like to think of it as part of the whole pipe deal so it will still stay at 3:ahh: Maybe Ill be saying my prayers to the RC Gods 2nite:bow: :hehe:
