Can’t get the video to load, but I’m guessing the spur is stripped, I keep em in stock for the big rock

I haven't even given it full throttle as of yetIt's sounds like gears. Check the pinion and spur. Check diffs. If those look ok, take the diff housings apart and check the bevel gears inside the housings. You ran it on 4s didn't you? That, and street tires on pavement...

Oh, I thought you bought a 3s Typhon? And that slipper doesn't look right. Clean it up. See what's up there.I haven't even given it full throttle as of yet
The previous owner ran it on 6s according to him
Have yet to run more than 1 pack thru it and that run was slow to get used to it
He'll I haven't even flipped it over yet
Give me a LITTLE credit
It's rated for 6s and 3s wouldn't get it past the sidewalk before battery was drained too badly
So yes I ran it on 4s
What else was I supposed to do? If it's broken too bad to fix it cost me 100 bucks
Not bad
Not salty
Just would like to figure out what my issue is with this particular vehicle so I can either repair it or throw it on the shelf
This is just me working thru possible issues and checking them off the list until I find the correct box.
This is the red piece I was referring toI don't see anything red?

Yeah was the 3s megaThe spur looks really chewed up.
I remember my Typhon made a noise like that and it kept blowing spur gears.
It turned out to be a bent motor mount.
@Doom! I believe this is actually the Mega. The 3s are red bodies.
The Mega really isn't built for high power. One of the very reasons I don't run mine.
I've modded mine but it still doesn't like high power.
Oh, that goes into the slipper/spur assembly. Looks chewed up too. This is the red piece I was referring to
Is all good tho
Throwing it all in a box to set for awhile until I am more prepared
Good game on the typhon

Diff gear is TOAST. That gear is barely good enough to handle 3s when new bro. Time for upgrades.
the typhon is on the bench, have an odd clicking sound.
i have it taken apart and rear diff looks fine, driveshaft looks fineish,
working on a car without help or guidance is pretty difficult.
i dont know what I'm looking for unless its OBVIOUSLY broken. makes for slow learning and going.
gotta bring up exploded view and try to compare parts.
like this little red part connecting the driveshaft. i can't find it. 50 of you know exactly the part and probably the part number for it as well as a few items that would be a more long lasting replacement.
and I'm over here stumped lol
everything looks fine. it should not be making this sound as far as i can tell. good times.
frustrating. calling it a night maybe fresh eyes the next day will help.
i can't even take off my wheels as i dont have some giant wheel hex apparently lol i do enjoy making my newbie mistakes.. i miss my crawlers

The slipper pads mount on both sides of that. It was in correctly. I can't tell by the pic if that is grease, dirty slipper pad material oozing out, or melted plastic. But it's definitely not right regardless. There should be zero grease on the slipper/spur assembly.Between that and the other pic, was it in backwards? I’m far from expert on them, but the big rock has two pads on one side and one on the other, might explain why it’s burned up the way it is? (I’m not sure it’s possible)

Yeah, I just remember the green body only fits the 3S chassis, won't fit the 6S.The spur looks really chewed up.

His pic is looking at it from this orientationNot arguing, but the pic (not expanded far enough) but would the dual plate go towards the cover piece and it looks bass ackward in the pic the majin posted? If his pic is correct orientation isn’t it the wrong way?
Maybe why he had the other issues too?
Laugh or cry...... you passed.
