I am going to get a new platform soon ,I am torn between two!

A 5th scale SC 4x4 with 45cc engine from Fearless RC or a Kyosho GT2 with 2 spd & 25 engine RTR.
I dont think it is practical on purchasing the GT3 because it is a kit that comes with nothing for $ 700 ,
it doesn't come with body ,wheels & tires ,electrics or engine ,an I am not a racer so that one went out
the door real quick ,however the GT2 is a jewel to drool over an that is why I am torn!

I'm looking at a gasser for economic reasons because of the price of nitro an it will give my nitro's a break ,
an because I already have nitro's an yea ,I have a 5th scale Baja that runs great but it is 2 wheel drive ,so
a 4x4 SC would be awesome to have ,but dang I am drooling over that GT2!

4x4 SC 5th scale.

I see your dilemma. I love that GT2 as well. SCT is my "one of these days" RC to buy. No idea why I have never bought one, because I have driven a Slash, and the SCT platform is so much fun to drive. They float over jumps, and as far as RC vs 1:1 goes, the SCT platform is one I feel you can get handling so much like the real thing, albeit it takes recording in a bit of slo-mo to actually see it.

I know you do a lot of pavement running, so I am sure you'd get a ton of enjoyment out of that GT2. And I know this is a completely different RC (and electric), but for inspiration to go with the SCT platform in general... if this doesn't make you want an SCT, go check your heart and see if it's still pumping 🤪 (this is the vid that made me want one).

Is it just me drooling here? Some of the scenes in that look like a 1:1 racing around.

Oh, and I'll be jealous no matter which one you get man. Both are very cool.

If I had a road track near me, I would probably have a harder time choosing between these two. But an SCT can be driven anywhere basically. Maybe that could be a deciding factor.

True about the large SCTs looking really "correct". I was looking a the Super Baja Rey when I went with the Vorteks because I realized I really didn't have the room to run that thing.

Part of what attracted me to it was the videos I saw and how real it looked ripping down a track.
