is a hyper 8 port a good engine to I'm prove speed and is it durable for an hb lightning also how much is it and how much for a rebuild

yeh i would like to know of some ways to improve power and speed in my hot bodies Lightning Pro. i dont know if the stock engine is worth keeping or if i should change some componets like the gear ratio or differentials. some suggestions would be great. also include the price of these upgrades.
thanks
kyle

Drop in a TT 70. It should fly then. or just get the EK4, replace the suspension with buggy parts and put buggy wheels on it. All that will fit together and it'll be ballistic.

OR WAIT TIL You GOT the cash to spend then ask about a motor - not dreaming of one :D:jet:

the EK-4 uses the EB4 chassis. the TT70 will drop right into the EB4 with minimal mods that are available from TTR

Put the Hyper 21 8 port Race engine in a Lightning Pro and it screams. Not a bad buy for $150. Needs a bump starter though.

Not sure really, and I'm kind of skeptical about the engine anyway. I posted a thread with pix of one that was chewed up by someone not know crap about engines (pix included). I got a feeling that the engine had issues out of the box, but I think that if someone got one then they should check it for loose metal in the case before trying to run it (I think that's what the engine I posted about had before it got destroyed).

I guess you could check with the LHS in your area, or try finding some info on Thunder Tiger's website. It's really a heli engine with a hex starter on the backplate.

I know the hyper 8 makes the savage perform loads better and thats in a HUG nitro monster truck,,,,,,,god knows what it would do in a buggy:thumbup:

Maybe i will get an 8 port sounds like a good engine to me. My lhs has them in stock and all of the parts for the engine all of the time and they sell it for cheap.

Thats pretty cool but error do u have any new movies?

I got one in the works now, just don't have alot of free time to give it my full attention. But thanks for asking, when it's done I'll post a link in the video section.

In the two vids I do have posted, my Savage was powered by the Hyper 21 8 port. I've upgraded since then to an Ofna Picco Outlaw 26, and it's even better. I've toyed with the idea of putting it in my Lightning, but I still like it in my Savage. The Lightning has the Hyper at the moment, and it does pretty good.

so in your mind which engine is better the hyper or the pico. what about sirio i heard those are good but i looked and the prices are double that of the hyper. is it that much better or is the hyper and the pico just as good as the sirio?

i have a sirio .21br sitting in a box with about 2 tanks in it - has a air leak somewhere - ended up getting frustrated and bought the ws7II - wish i did that the first time around..

hey error in the next video that u make with your savage put the lightning in it can u do that and when i get that video up post it for me

so then is the ws7II better than all of the engines that we have been talking about. and how much is that one??

it lists for 375.00 but u can find it for about 280.00

why not go the whole way though, and get a collari modified C5? lol.
