How durable are the Hyper 8 Pros, in terms of wear? Do they wear as much as the Jammin? Are they as durable as the Mugen, in terms of wear?

I'm not talking about parts snapping (although I would like to hear of any weaknesses), I'm curious if they start needed maintenance sooner than the top-tier buggies, such as the Prospec?

ie: Diffs, arms/hingepins, shocks, etc.? Do they get sloppy? What about the outdrives?

From the pictures I've seen, the Pro version looks nice, but I've never seen one that has a few gallons through it. Does it have any weaknesses?

Thanks for any observations.

Is it a good buggy ? I have been buying a lot of stuff and would like to hear the scoop on it.

the H8 is an excellent buggy and it handles aggressive, is well balanced jumping and handles "super" thru the rough sections of the track, great quality parts., the buggy came out one year ago and it can only get better.

Hmmm, it's so good NOT one made the A main at the Nitro Challenge and the one that made the A main at Silver State finished last. You'll have a hard time getting an unbiased opinion from this guy cause he "knows Greg Degani" (even though he couldn't spell his name). Southern, just making a few points so you don't get swayed by someone's blabberings.

Well, I really dont think the showing at the top level is a good indicator. The Sponsorship with "Ofna" is a wierd thing. It seems that most of the top drivers are sponsored by others.

That said,I have yet to see one run, so even on a local level they dont seem to be popular. Why? Dont know, but maybe the Jammin was out 1st, did really well, and pushed the Hyper aside the same way the Hyper 7 did to the 9.5 series?(for "ofna" people)

maybe i made a mistake typing a letter, but YOU DON'T KNOW poop WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO REAL FACTS, IN THE R/C WORLD :trout: , OR DID YOU FORGET THE IDIOT THAT YOU MADE OUT OF YOUR SELF, THE LAST TIME YOU YOU TRIED TO GET SMART WITH ME :opps: :loser: ???????

and by the way, how many XRays, Kyosho, Mugens made the A-MAIN, at the Nitro Challenge and the Silver State race???? burnnnn!!!! LOOSER........

Do you have mental problems?, or sexual problems?, or are you just another Jerry Springer FREAK!!! but anyways... YOU NEED SOME ANGER MANAGEMENT HELP, I WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU..... HE, HE, HE, LOOOOOOOOOSER...

I think the point jet was trying to make is that the hyper 8 is not popular. The kyosho, mugen and xray have prooven themselves time and time again. I hate to burst your big assed bubble, but the hyper just hasn't prooven itself.

if i had a mugen, then i will go for mugen, and the same if i had a losi, kyosho, xray, jammin ....don't you pull or vote for what you have???

p.s.
funny that you said that the xray has prooven it self time and time again, but when was the last time, that the xray buggy won a big event here in the US?? the answer is NEVER. but it wins all the time in europe, germany, russia!!!, well the hyper8 buggy, also has won plenty races over seas, europe, the #1 driver from spain, drives a hyper8... the fact is that the buggy is as good as the rest of them... Who was the #1 qualifier in the 2004 buggy world champs and what buggy was he driving?? the answer is Yannick Aigoin with a Hyper7, and what about at the 2006 buggy world champ, hobao racing had like eight hyper8 buggies in the top fifteen spots....

it doesn't matter what you drive at the r/c track, if you aren't a good driver you will never win, just give Adam Drake a Walmart buggy, and he will beat you with it. IS THE DRIVER AND NOT SO MUCH THE BUGGY... but a good buggy will help!!

To tell you the truth I don't even have a buggy. And the last buggy I had was a hyper 7. Was it a good buggy? Yes could it compete with a mugen? No way in hell. I could drive better then my competition but I still couldn't keep up with is prospec.

The thing about xray is that it wins all the time at the club level. I could care less on how it does at the pro level, it comes down to driver at that point.

I think you are taking this WAY too seriously. Dude its a freakin toy car! relax and take a step back!

My God!!! there is a lot of blind, single mind people in the world, no wonder the world is the way it is......

Are we overreacting a bit?

Calm down already.

Take a breath.

Count to ten.

Can we not get this locked down by a flame war?:flamer:

Before adding you to the "Ignore" list, how about leaving this thread. I would prefer not to see it locked because of your behavior. I'm not sure why your identity is so tied up with an Ofna product, but take the childishness elsewhere. It's not adding anything worthwhile here.

he,he,he...... OFNA LOL!!! how the heck cares about OFNA, that is just the name of the distr here in the US, do you even know ho makes the Hyper8 and the Jammin? and I care less if you add me to your ignore list, because I was just trying to help you when you asked about the buggy... so i don't care.....

As I recall the only one who made an ass of themself was you. But your pretty blind to things so I didn't expect you to remember that. I'm not the childish moron that pm'ed me with crap either, want me to send them to you to refresh your memory on who needs to grow up an seek anger management classes. I'm also not the one that got all fired up about it, you took things to a whole other level. And let's see here Kelso, how many Xray's, Kyosho and Mugens were in the A-main at those two races, (since your too dumb to go look for yourself I'll post it for you).

Silver State:
Xray, AE, and Sidorf all had 1 each
Jammin had 2
Mugen 2
Kyosho 0
HoBao had two (my bad for saying 1, Batlle wasn't listed w/ a manufacturer the first time the results were posted.
Losi had 5

Nitro Challenge:
Losi had 5
O'Donnell, Xray, and GS 1 each
Mugen 2
AE 2
Jammin 3
HoBao 0 <----------

I'm sure you made another friend here now that your crapped all over Mr Southern's thread. Southern I apologize for this, I just didn't want you to get one sided opinions. You see, the only thing MX knows is the Hyper 8, of the few posts he's made here on RCNT, almost all have only dealt with the Hyper 8. As you can see by his ramblings he comes off as a raging lunatic but that's neither here nor there. Contrary to the beliefs of MX I do attend races all around the Midwest and on occasion have run a couple tracks in CA when I've been out there for work, oh and I run in the RC Pro Series. I can assure you that the Hyper 8 is largely unpopular and a rarity to see on the track. I can count on one hand how many I have seen. I myself run a Mugen MBX5R, prior to I ran an X-Ray XB8TQ. When I ran the Jammin CRT I really considered a Jammin CR. I feel the Kyosho is still in the game as well, if you can run the aftermarket changes, which Kyosho sponsored drivers can't do.

All has been said here that need to be said.
Thread locked.

Southern,
Feel free to start another on the same subject. If it gets railroaded, people will be going on vacation.
