Hyper 7 and Violator owners

OK I'm still deciding between the Violator and the Hyper7 PBS. I noticed that the violator has a "standard" center diff and the hyper 7 has a spider gear diff. What's the significance of this? Is it better or worse? Also do they both have chassis braces? Metal or Plastic? Is the air filter bolted down with either one? Which has the better brake system? Vented/Quads/Dual??? What about upgrades. Easier to find for the violator or the pbs? Sorry for all the questions. I wish I could see either of these in person. Thanks!

I have the hyper 7 pro . It does have a chassie brace which is metal. The air filter is not bolted to the chassie. On the hyper 7 pro you have the choice of how you want the brakes -dual/quads. Check out the ofna websites for more information. peace

The spider diff has 6 internal gear where as a standard diff ha 4
This makes the spider diff a little smoother, less slop and provides more diff resistance,

For most guys you'll never notice a difference between the two, only the pros can tell the subtle differences

Based on my racing experience, I have a hyper 7, I suggest you go with the Hyper7 over the 9.5, I've heard a lot of guys rave about the 9.5 too but you never see them on the track. Why because the H7 is a better driving buggy. If the 9.5 was better you'd be seeing guys race it.
The only 4 buggies I ever see good racers using are
H7 pro
GS storm pro
Mugen X series (everyone has the X5 now)
Kyosho Kanai series
