Lesu is now releasing some of their heavy equipment rigs in kit form. Maybe they've had the kits, all along, I'm not sure, because the heavy equipment RC has been a little rich for my blood. Though, I have always found it really cool, and fascinating, that they can make these rigs as functional as their 1:1 counterparts. I used to watch a YT channel, some time back, that had some super impressive heavy equipment rigs, and they'd all get together, running a full, miniature, construction site, it was really cool to watch.

Anyhow, if anyone is interested, and capable of assembling one of these monsters, here is the link:

The rtr being $100 cheaper is a joke. Would make projects around the house easier.

You are referring to RCSparks YT channel. He was actually finding a little gold with his RC mine site.

$100 cheaper? From what I see, the cheapest RTR, the one without a battery, charger, and radio, is $400 more, then they go up from there. I agree though, chores would be a blast with one of these. "Honey, don't worry about putting up the dog's toys, I will get those little suckers back in the box lickety split!" Would also help the wife understand the large investment. 😂

That was him! My wife and I would watch his videos in utter amazement, at the functionality of those rigs.

They're basically built like the big ones. Steel frame and panels. Hydraulics, etc. They are super heavy, so they work good in loose dirt and stuff. It's hard to scale down earth, so you gotta find material that is as close as it can be. We have a 1/16 excavator, front end loader, and dump truck. They will dig great in sand or freshly dug dirt. But it's only partially metal, and more toy grade. So kinda light duty. But they are a blast. Breydon got them from Santa when he was 4 years old, and he quickly became quite good at the excavator controls.

That is very cool! The ones I saw in RCSparks videos, I mean they were stripping away, hauling off, sifting, the whole operation, it was super impressive. I wonder what the pressures are in those hydraulic lines, with a little hydraulic pump, super scale stuff, to be sure. That level of detail is precisely why I'd not want to attempt a build like this.

As long as you have exploded views and any necessary instructions, it shouldn't be much different than any other assembly. Unless it requires a lot of fab work to assemble it. You should have seen the 1:1 helicopter my uncle built from a kit 😲

Was that the guy doing it in his cellar/crawlspace?
I am not sure on that one. He was mining out on his property originally. Then he ended up moving somewhere else in Canada. I quit watching him because although his stuff is really cool, it is WAY out of my price range. It was kinda like watching a guy showing off a Bugatti or something. Cool car, but I'll never own one.

Exact same reasons I stopped watching his channel, and how I ended up forgetting his name. That coupled with his inserting himself into a dispute between friends, Kev Talbot and a guy he used to have on his channel regularly, in a really public way, I just turned it off.
