hi i'm new to the group .. i'm not a hardcore nitro freak but i do like to play with RC's i used to have a Mugen .12 touring car with 2 speed box ,tuned pipe, countersunk chassis and race bearings.

I was please at how nice the car went but it was very unrelible and kept cutting out. Also it's very hard to get good speed in a carpark full of cars and kids watching.

I have now sold that to my younger brother and looking for a new one.

I am now looking at either a HPI Savage or T-maxx 2.5

Now i have seen the clips for both of these cars and they look well impressive and i am in bit of a diliemna in choosing.. can you help sway my mind to the right direction .. i think i know which one i want but would need other peoples opinion.

Thanks for listening

If I had my choice I would get the Savage. From what I have heard and seen that would be my choice. I am actually thinking of selling one of my Ts so I can get a Savage myself.

I own an old version T-Maxx (slightly modified) and intend to get the Savage as my next MT. I've seen both in action and like the Savage over the 2.5 T-Maxx.

Well I guess I will throw my $.02 in here. I really like my 2.5
T-maxx now that I have a lot of the bugs worked out and after taking it to a local track and SMOKING every Savage out there but after I broke what feels like my 1,000,012 front bulkhead, I noticed the savages out there taking hits a lot better than my Maxx. I think if your after speed agility the the Maxx is the way to go but if you want a durable truck and dont want to dump $$ on titanium parts for a maxx then the savage is the way to go. I do want to see a savage with a .21 or bigger RB Concepts or similar motor run though because I bet that thing would FLYYYYYYY!
