HPI Garbage parts

I noticed after breaking this hub it was made out of some of the worst cast metal known to man. You can tell by its stone appearance and it’s super light weight. Stock HPI Hubs: $12.00. Aluminum Hubs: $ 50.00. Why not just make some decent metal ones to begin with ?
