I feel your pain 
I've spent a bit of time and money on an Aarma rabbit hole one time. Might be time to part ways with HPI. Sell for what you can get and move on. There are different manufacturers out there no doubt. May be more durable. May be not. But imma thinkin HPI isn't working out for you. Good luck in the future! If you try something different, let us know that too
